great product.
This is a well made and well engineered product made from metal with stainless steel lock screws ,which should last forever, The only plastic is on the head of the 2 wing adjusting nuts, so i was very impressed with the quality and value for money. The reason i ordered this was to attach a flashgun and brolly to a tripod to take portraits in the house ,i ordered it in the evening and it was left on my doorstep next morning, The aluminium boss has 3/8 and 1/4 threaded holes on the end to fit either size of tripod screws, and is included .I would recommend this product and gave it 5 stars. regards Steve.

Decent bit of kit for the money
A really useful bit of kit for any photographer who uses flash off camera. Sturdy and well made. My only complaint is that the angle of the umbrella is fixed and if you're using smaller umbrellas, it's impossible to get the flash in the centre of the reflector.

Compact and useful back up.
Feels a little small, but, on a quick trial mounting a Simor P96 Led light, a small 96 led light, in the cold shoe and running an umbrella through the head, I can say it represents good value for money. If I had one thing to add to improve it would be more substantial butterfly screws, but this is a small thing and might compromise its compactness which I believe it to be its chief asset. Otherwise I would be reaching to find fault, which, given its price, is a positive sign.

works really well
This works well and is the only one that does not cause issues with flash gun pins

Great
Good enough. Holds my speed light. I already have a stand and umbrella from purchasing a studio lighting kit.

Very handy product
Was looking for something to use for holding my speedlight and sometimes a relector or diffuser, this product fits that perfectly it can fit on to a tripod or nightstand very easily and is extremely well built.

Not brilliant, not rubbish.
So the black 'metal' disc in the promo images seems like something of an afterthought. Pictured is how it comes assembled. When tightened, as you can see the flash mount doesn't line up with the umbrella hole (flash points the wrong way so light doesn't reflect). Which is where the disc comes in. When the disc is attached, it's possible to line up the flash mount with the umbrella, but the disc and the flash mount can easily be moved. It's sturdy enough to hold for a photo shoot, but it's not rock solid. The disc and mount can be tightened or loosened as they move together quite easily. Bracket at the top is adjusted with fiddly screw, but the collar on your flash ought to hold it tight. Reasonable cost, ABS plastic seems tough, it fits my existing stand (even though it comes with a handy adaptor for tripods). Also the flash sits so high on the mount, and the umbrella so low, that the light from the umbrella is uneven. After a photo shoot last night, with the umbrella pointed at the subjects face, the light reflected under and lit up the lower portion of the subject. Also, the flash itself casts a massive shadow. Just back on Amazon to update review and purchase a new mount, a clamp that holds the light portion in the centre of the umbrella.

Well made and does the job of holding your flashgun effectively
It is a small price to pay for a well designed and made product.
