Our granddaughter is six. She loves this yo-yo. It's wonderful for young children learning to yo-yo. Price was good. The string is strong enough not to worry about breakage.

Great for beginners. Yo yo is rubber so it doesnt hurt if it hits you. Retracts automatically. Would definitely recommend.

As some have said, this is not a great yoyo. Problem with all yoyos is that they eventually go "cockeyed" and once that happens they tangle up and stop. This one goes cockeyed almost immediately probably because of very high friction and very low mass.So why get it? Because it is soft so your kid can't use it as a nun-chuck and hurt themselves or someone else. Plus the string is shorter than a usual yoyo. It does do the very first return cleanly and easily. You can forget about tricks of course.

Got this for my son for Christmas. He LOVES it! Great for a young one learning to use a yo yo. Very durable!

This is the perfect yoyo for beginners. Can easily learn to do tricks. My son loves the bright color!

Good for the first yo-yo but the anchored string slips around the base. So it’s super hard to wind the string back to the beginning.

Nine-year-old found it easy to use and seven year-old had some difficulty. Their father liked it a lot.

Bought this for a 4yo. They really wanted a yo-yo and they were able to get it back up on the first try. They carried it around for days talking about their tricks. The yo-yo is really responsive, making it really fun for little ones. The silicone sides are an extra nice change, especially for when kids inevitably use it improperly.I typically buy the Butterfly XT for kids because we’ve found it to be more responsive than the original Butterfly. This will be my new go to yo-yo for kids.
