Wonderful device
I have a heavy cast press for grommets and found that this was nearly the same price as just buying the punching dies. This is lightweight aluminum, but functions well. Dies are interchangeable with my other one so if I want one for grommets and one for rivets, I can do that too. Comes with large supply of grommets and rivets.

It makes the job easier
There was no useful instruction indeed, but you can easy figure things out. The pink paint chipped here and there, but I don't think is really relevant. It does the job beautifully.

Overall a good economical choice
I purchased this machine after exploring some much more expensive options. If I were a professional bag maker, it would make sense, perhaps, to spend $250-$350 on a system that required me to buy separate dies at about $30 a pop. I took a risk on this purchase, which costs about $49 at the moment. Here are the highlights:The machine itself is pretty nice. It had a beautiful clean paint surface (though the base was marred in one section). The base is heavy metal, and the shaft and spring seem quite heavy. The lever is aluminum (I suppose), and the unit works flawlessly. I set a few rivets, all of which looked beautiful. The machine came with several rivet dies. This is one of the downsides: The listing describes the machine as a “grommet” machine, but there are no dies for grommets, or, indeed, any grommets. That’s okay, because I wanted rivets, so it was all good. There were four different sizes of rivet dies, along with a great many two cap rivets. There are several negatives, however, I want to emphasize that though I seem to list more negative issues than positives, I would not hesitate to buy this setter knowing what I know now, had I to do this over again:There were no instructions whatsoever with the machine, and the parts were not labeled clearly, or, rather were labeled in Chinese, which was little help to me. There are screws and bolts on the machine, the purpose of which are unclear to me. The packaging was not performed carefully, either. The machine and the handle were wrapped, but there were loose bolts and parts sloshing around in the box (which had some holes, so it’s a wonder that something wasn’t missing). I experimented to figure out which dies fit which rivets. I actually used the machine on a bag with other rivets I’d purchased. It worked great. The biggest downside is that I would like to buy other dies for the machine, such as, perhaps, a hole punch die, metal snap dies, or grommet dies. I have no idea what the brand of this setter is, nor whether dies I buy on Amazon will fit this die. I assume that sizes of generic dies are fairly standard, but it will be a risk to try them. Providing information to help me figure that out would be a big benefit.Overall, I think that this was a very good purchase, given my situation, and I would not be afraid to buy this if you are looking for an entry level system. I suggest watching some online videos to look at how rivet setters work before you use it and you should have no issues.

Absolute garbage
Literally the first time I used it, it broke at the base. You might as well just light your money on fire.

Wow
Unboxed, one screw needed to attach handle, and was ready to go. Came with a lot. What they are calling buttons, I - in the US - am calling rivets. Came with dies for 5mm, 6mm, 8mm - as well as polished nickel rivets. Also came with 2 punches. Several grommet dies and the actual grommets.Weighs next to nothing, do it will be easy to move to any work location. Plan to use my Big Bite for hole punching because it goes through anything. But after I try these punches, who knows.Unless the thing breaks, I give it 5 stars. You get a lot for the money. More suited to my needs than an arbor press, which I was considering. This rivet press cost less and is portable.Kay in Dallas, Texas

Your on your own!
There are no words in the instructions just some vague pictures that don’t help much. This will get the job done but only if you know how to use one already. The punches struggled to get through thicker fabric but did fantastic on thin sets.

Does the job
The fact that it serves the same purposes and one of the higher dollar one I love it. It fits nicely on my table. It is very Strong. It is very durable. Love the color and is easily accessible and easy to use. And
