Cheap & cheerful little compass

Bought 5 for a class demonstration and work ok for that but they all gave a different bearing for north. Wouldn’t trust them for hill walking.

I purchased this item for myself as it has quite a few things on that are helpful. Great value.

I must confess, I brought this as a toy for my little lad. As didn't want to splash out on an expensive one like mine, only for him to destroy or lose it.As a toy goes, it's great. He's introduced to navigation and how to read a compass. It also keeps him away from my prized one.As a compass goes, I would rely on this to as far as I can throw it. Sorry. I guess one cannot grumble at this price - if anything, that's a clear indication you're not going to be getting an accurate product. The needle sticks and the struggles to respond to changes.Overall, please avoid if you're over the age of Primary school or in need of understanding which direction you're heading.N.B. I've given it a generous 2-stars, owing to the price, the good selection of scales, and my little lad loving playing pretend.

did exactly as it ws supposed to do

Has been hung on a hook since purchase and never used, first time i came to use it and found all the oil had leaked out.

Bought to go in a 7 year olds Den Kit , so he doesn't use it for real. It looks fine and it works but I don't know how reliable it is.

These were perfect for our festival style kids party.
