This is a steamy romance with lots of action and wonderful characters. Mia is the only one who can calm the beast named Vek. Mia's singing speaks to him in ways that cannot be imagined. Vek has had a terrible life having to fight for his life in an underground arena. He was given drugs to make his rages bad enough that he won in each fight for his life. Now that they have both been saved, they work together to help find the missing women from Earth and fall in love during that process. Love overcomes!

Galactic Gladiators book 7. Beast aka Blue aka Vek'ker gets his story. We met him a previous book. Enslaved from childhood Beast knows nothing but underground fighting and all the bad stuff that goes with it until Mia. Mia is one of the many humans abducted by some evil aliens. Mia meets Blue while being held captive. They were rescued by Galen and crew. But then Mia is abducted again. Blue, Cosair, Galen and the gladiator crew set off to rescue her and some others. The battle gets extra crazytown, they get some new allies and some more enemies. This book is filled with WTF twists, drama, angst and smexiness.

This can be read as a stand-alone, but it is best enjoyed when the series is read in order. This story has all the things I love, steamy romance, exciting action, edge of your seat suspense, shocking twists, and all in a sci-fi setting. The main characters are ones you are happy to root for and never act in a “What were you thinking!” manner. The secondary characters enhance the story. There are twists and surprises that add excitement to the major story arc. The book doesn’t end in a cliff hanger, but there are hints as to what people will be matched up in future stories in the series. If you like an exciting sci-fi romance with lots of action, I highly recommend the Galactic Gladiator series and this book is one of the best!

I love the Galactic Gladiators series. Of all the books in this series this is the first one I bought both the book AND the audiobook- it was THAT good and I’ve read it twice this month! In a series with an overarching storyline, it is amazing to see the creativity that pours forth from this author. This newest hero isn’t one of the House of Galen gladiators, but a rescued fighter from the underbelly of Carthago- captured as a young boy and chained, forced to fight to the death for years until he seems no more than a beast. He fought for Mia and has a strange bond to her from the start. Mia is just about the only being not scared/wary of him. She knows he won’t hurt her because of his actions to protect her. If you want a fantastic romance, panty soaking physical intimate scenes (18+ only), intense action, and more male hotties than you can dream of- look no further.

I love characters who have been pushed to the edge and managed to battle their way back. Their hold on their sanity might be a little tenuous at times, but they're trying. And when they have a special someone who anchors them, my heart goes pitter-patter.Vek and Mia are all those things. Vek has been forced to fight and kill against his will and it's left its mark on him. Mia centers him and allows him to push back him wildness, but he's still not quite as civilized as the other gladiators in Galen's house.Unfortunately for him, there are a certain subset of individuals who prize his uncivilized nature. And if they threaten Mia, Vek will do anything to make sure she remains safe. Which puts him in a VERY BAD situation.Very bad. Very very bad.I'm loving this crazy desert world and the gladiators who fight to keep it safe for normal people like Mia and the other earth women who were abducted. The more time she spends with Vek the more she is drawn to him and soon she doesn’t want to let him go.Finally Vek’s story! Vek has had a terrible and tragic life. He has been a slave, pumped full of drugs, and has been forced to fight to the death. The only person who has ever gotten through to him is Mia. She sees his true self not a monster. Vek melted my heart with his protective and sensitive soul.Mia was a very determined woman. She was determined to show Vek what real freedom could be like for him. I really liked how supportive she was of Vek, even when things got hard she never gave up on him. Mia also is a fantastic singer, is a pilot, and has many other careers. She saw this as a negative but to me this is just her living a full life. She is a well rounded woman and can do many things and I think that was great! I do hope we get to see more of her singing in the future though because clearly she had a good voice.As always with this series, this book was nonstop action and romance. I love that this world keeps growing and more characters keep popping up. I can’t wait to learn more about Neve. She was such a mysterious and dangerous woman that I know her story is going to be a good one.

I love me my Gladiators, each and every one of them, but Vek captured my heart from the beginning, boy howdy does he know how to love, without ever knowing it. He is one brave, protective, loyal Alien with a huge heart, once he is free and at House Of Galen. Mia is fierce as all get out, faithful, strong, stubborn, beautiful yet fragile all at the same time. Beast is a page turning, stay up all night kind of book, as is all of them, it also has all the characters you have come to know and love from the previous books in this series. Anna Hackett has an incredible talent and fantastic imagination, and you'll just want to keep reading. I highly recommend this series and all of her books, you will not be disappointed.

I loved this read the best ..it was full of my favourites ..action, gardening, badass amazonians, protective dominant men, singing, computer stuff, killing badness and invigorating sexy times. The MMC Vek and MFC Mia awesome couple so relatable and their relationship journey should be read. 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Vek'kar or Vek for short is so under the thrall of the drug cocktail he was given that he was a beast. Mia is the only person able to begin to interact with him but he is slowly getting more lucid.

I loved every minute of this book,it had everything,and kept me reading it all night I didn't want to put it down,I the main characters and enjoyed their relationships with the other people around i can't wait to read the next book in this series and would recommend these books to everyone ,no sleep for me tonight but who needs sleep anyway.

Definitively my favorite one in this series, even if I have still 2 more books for the moment to read.Vek-Kek, or Blue as he was called most of the time, is with Kace one of my favorite character.He is no gladiator, just a survivor with an off the charts will to stay alive, but he is no bad man, he just kills to not be killed but when he encounters Mia, he finds a goal, protect her.Mia was never able to discover where was her true place back on Earth, going from one job to another but never filling the hole in her heart.Vek is more on the edge of a beast than of an human being, Mia smooths the rage inside him but he fears to hurt her.With Vek, Mia begins to understand she can maybe become whole, no more feeling like a disappointment for the others.Plus the plot was set outside of the arena, in new places, after Barbarian, we see a new aspect of this alien’s world.A very great read.

Awww I love the big blue alien. Vek is such an intense character, filled with so much pain and rage. Abducted as a child he has known nothing but violence and death until Mia. Such an unlikely match and yet perfect for each other.Anna has created an action packed world that captures the imagination and holds the reader entranced. Absolutely love these books and I can't wait to see which alien falls next for our fiesty human females.

That’s the very best gift for a writer to have, the ability to make both her worlds and her characters so real that you can see them in your head and feel for them in their struggles. But most of all I like the fact that just once here are science fiction action/romance stories where earth humans are not just good for breeding.Please please keep writing Ms.Hackett I love all your work but this one is fast becoming my favorite.
