Another quality Husqvarna saw.
Nice saw with adequate power. I have many saws from small top handles up through this Husqvarna 465. Four of my saws are Husqvarna brand and I like the quality of the Husqvarna saws. I have only used this saw briefly since receiving it and ran okay. Last year I was involved in clean up after a storm spawned an EF1 and EF2 tornado. I used a Husqvarna 460 w/ 24" bar which ripped through uprooted mature Walnut and Ash trees. I needed enough power to fell and buck larger diameter trees so I purchased the 465. As for using a 28" bar with the 465 I think you'll find it a good match. I have several Echo brand saws which are also nice but they required me to adjust the carb out of the box. I don't mind carb tuning but I have never had to change a Husqvarna saw carb setting on a new saw yet which saves me time. I live where violent weather is too common and have been handling storm clean up for almost 40 years now. You won't go wrong with Husqvarna and this saw is no exception. The key to a good operating saw is to maintain it well.

It is an "Autotune" X-Torq Saw
Bought this as a stop-gap while I rebuild my venerable 372XP (pre-CARB) Husky, which ate one of it's own cir-clips after 15 years of use. The 465 is an Autotune saw .. requires a husky dealer to go online with your saw in hand to read trouble codes and/or re-set the carb. Also, it is an X-Torq saw .. adds fresh air to the air-fuel mixture to become CARB compliant. I haven't used the 465 yet .. still waiting for some H47 chains from an Amazon vendor who failed to read my shipping address, and used the mail (doesn't work out here).I'll recommend the 465 because it's a Husky, with the proviso that you will need to have access to a Husky dealer to do the "Autotune" thing if ever necessary. My old 372XP will be reborn as a 375XP (pre-CARB) .. can never have to many saws. Also note, that this vendor ships this saw with an H80 (lowest kickback potential) chain, so if you want something more aggressive you'll need to order some H46 or H47 chains, 93dl (for the 28" bar). Cheers!

Works great
I have used Stihl and Husqvarna saws in the Forrest service and this is a nice saw for the house and ranch at a good price.
