Great little pump, cheap, but requires occasional maintenance
I don't normally write reviews, but this one needs a bit of detail. Yes, it's the cheapest pump on amazon, yes the build quality is cheap, as expected. However, I didn't have any problems with the pump overheating or cutting out. It has been reliable pumping water through a garden sprinkler for 1 hr+. Gives a phenomenal flow rate. After living with it for a year, it tends to rust (cheap iron/steel construction) and eventually it seized up. However, it can be simply dismantled with six bolts, and the metal parts soaked in rust remover overnight (I use evaporust) and it's good as new. So be prepared to do a little maintenance, or it'll be in landfill within a year!

No frills or thrills, just does the job
It's fine, not too noisy. Chinese quality obviously which means cheap especially the input cord at about 18" long.! I had to change that for a sensible length

Didn’t last. More rubbish from China
Seized up due to rust on the impeller after a couple of weeks. Sent back. Don’t waste your time.

Not as advertised, very limited duty cycle
Update*****Replacement pump cuts out after 20minutes operation. Ambient temp about 8 deg c, lifting a few meters but almost no head. Best avoided unless a 20minute duty cycle is acceptable. I wish AIM would have just been honest!*******The first pump cut out after 20minutes of running. Ambient temp 5 deg c, lifting about 5m. Aim were great and arranķged no argument exchange. Seconomy pump seems ok.For information the impeller looks to be an aluminium alloy from casual inspection not brass or plastic. Pump castings look good. Inlet and outlet Threads are perfect. Good shoulder for parrallell threaded fittings with seals. Flow was good at 5/5.5m I think I achieved over 8lpm with a suction foot valve (nrv).

WHY IS IT CUTTING OUT
The pump runs for 5 minutes then cuts out (overheating) this is from putting it on for the 1st time. I cant have this as its running fish tanks in my fishroom and this is a major part of my filtration its has been installed properley and in ventlated area etc. I even had a 10" fan facing the pimp to see if this helps and not at all i am very disapointed with this purchase!!!!
