Excellent Resource
An excellent resource for Masters weightlifters with advice for program planning, training and recovery. The author gives sound advice on the importance of velocity in the performance of the lifts and the supporting rationale behind the emphasis of this practice. Highly recommend for Master's lifters who have limited access to coaches and training partners.

A revolutionary approach to performance in Olympic Weightlifting
Studying top international lifters, Mr. Napier recognized that they all maintain a certain speed in all exercises in their workouts so that, in effect, they are always training speed and more focused on speed rather than simply gaining strength. Applying this principle in training, masters lifters can afford themselves better, injury free performance which is exciting news. I wish I had had this book to read years ago.

One and only manual on Master.
The one and only comprehensive book that I could find dedicated to senior and even very senior Olympic weightlifters. A bit too pessimistic in terms of how much it is going to hurt, how long for recovery, and the inexorable decline as we get older. To centric on the big men, too little specific information regarding small lifers, and female lifters, who experience very different trajectories of recovery and ongoing lifting even into a very ripe old age. Still an invaluable book for all people into Masters lifting, or contemplating the devilishly difficult, but beautiful and graceful sport
