What a GEM!
This radio is SUPERB, well up to the consistent standard of the long-established company, "Roberts Radio". I had tried a similar radio of a different make, but it just wouldn't pick up any DAB stations, not a single one. Admittedly, the aerial reception in the room where it was used is not that great, but my ancient Evoke radio had found plenty of DAB stations whilst in the same location. This Roberts Stream 94i also found loads of DAB stations, even though many of them had quite considerable signal errors on account of the rather poor reception. Many FM stations, which I probably won't now be needing, were also found, again, given the weak aerial signal in the said room. The Internet Radio feature of this Roberts Stream 94i radio is a dream! There are truly hundreds and hundreds of stations to choose from. At first, the unit had trouble connecting to my router, but eventually, all was well, and, touchwood, things have continued that way. I can't get over the choice of stations there are! I'm a lifetime fan of the late, great Buddy Holly, and was delighted to find one dedicated to him, playing his own music and that of tribute artist(e)s to Holly around the clock, 24/7. What an absolute delight! Thank you so much, Roberts Radio! It's Internet Radio for me now, without a doubt.I love everything about this baby. The display is nice and bright and everything is easy to set up, if you have a little technical common-sense. It cost £100 more than the previous one I had to return, but so what? - this is the price of quality, worth every penny. The sound performance, for such a dinky unit, is excellent. I love the wonderful amounts of presets available (40 for each type of radio input, Internet, DAB, and FM), and they are dead easy to assign to the stations required. There are still many features I shall need to learn about, but I'm confident they will all work.Incidentally, attached to the low voltage lead that connects from the mains unit to the radio is a little cylinder-shaped gadget, with a few loops of the lead wrapped within its hollow interior. It can be opened, if required, so that the wrapped portion can be moved away from the mains unit, as I wanted to happen. It is, as suspected, an anti-interference component, designed to protect the radio from such. I found this out from a most helpful chap I spoke to at Roberts Radio - excellent Customer Service! One last thing: the User Manual that comes with this radio is excellent. I say this, because, unlike with many products these days, you don't need a surgeon's microscope to be able to read the print! This Manual is of a decent size, and is very clear. I would. though, advise anyone buying this radio (which I encourage everyone to do) to download a PDF version of the same Manual, as it's handy to have, especially on a desktop computer, where the text will be even more readily-visible. Not only that, PDF files can be searched for text, rather than having to thumb through multiple paper pages to find reference to a subject. That's all! Buy this with confidence - and no, I don't work for Roberts Radio! - nor have I ever done. :-)

Good choice for Internet Radio
Radio tested and recommended by an annual radio guide publication that I read. But it is also worth looking at the Roberts website for specification before purchasing. On first powering up the radio I was presented with a software update which I accepted. It was fairly easy to complete set-up.My likes: Internet radio is excellent. DAB+ brings in more stations than my first generation DAB tuner. The sound is good and I like the tone (equaliser) choices offered in the menu. The 3-speaker arrangement seems to work well. Menus are simple to negotiate. The remote is very useful - easier to use I think than the tiny buttons on the set facia. Connectivity options on rear panel are welcome. My minor reservations: On DAB and FM I find that receiver location is very important for reception. For example when I moved the radio a couple of metres a second DAB scan found lots of stations rather than none! FM scanning is also extremely affected by the radio location so maybe it is rejection of interference that is the weakness. I was initially very unimpressed with FM reception until I found the solution was to relocate the set. A potential trouble in many of our homes nowadays is that there can be sources of radio interference that a good radio needs to be able to resist. My older radios seem to have better selectivity. If you have problems persevere with for example repositioning radio. Unfortunately Roberts Radio Customer Service were not interested in my query about FM just because I had purchased from Amazon; not really a consumer-friendly response as just shunting the query onto the retailer who surely could not do anything but exchange. Makes no sense does it when Roberts surely supply Amazon? It is a mains radio and may lose some preferred settings if the power supply is disconnected but it seems to retain important stuff like resetting the clock and saving preset stations for when power is restored.A pity the built-in Bluetooth option is for reception only, but then I can plug a transmitter into either the headphone or line out sockets if I want so easily resolved.I cannot comment upon Undok or Spotify as not used.Once I was able to resolve a few issues I have formed the opinion that this was a good buy.
