Great product
I’ve used Tuf Foot on my dogs for years because it works! The original type bottles were notorious for spilling liquid where it wasn’t needed; the pump spray is better, but I wish its spray area was a little tighter to minimize overspray. If you plan on taking your dog anyplace that could damage its paw pads, plan to start using this at least 2 weeks in advance, as it takes awhile to work. I’ve had good luck prepping my dog’s feet for swimming and climbing out of the water onto rocky ground, hiking on field stubble, and also performing top level obedience competitions on artificial turf, which tends to give dogs the equivalent of carpet burn if they slide on fast recalls or jumps.

Seems to work!
I bought this for a 14-day backpacking trip with my dog.I panicked after reading that many people needed to get off the trail because their dogs' paws didn't hold up.I didn't know something like this existed, so I got it a little too late (only a week before the trip). My dog had no issues at all with his paws! However, I'm not sure what exactly helped the most since I did a few things:- Started applying Tuf-foot twice a day to my dog's paws-before the trip and during the first seven days of the trip- Then switched to once a day.My dog also wore Nonstop dog booties most of the time, and I also added musher's wax sometimes, because I didn't want his paws to crack. (It was very hot during our 14-day backpacking trip.)Even in the most rocky terrain through desolation wilderness at Lake Tahoe, he had no issues. I would recommend. But I'm not sure if it would have worked without the shoes. I didn't want to risk anything so I did not try.

So helpful, but a little messy.
My dog has a terrible time with dry and cracked paws. He only has three feet, so he can't limp to keep off one if it's hurting. It took us a while to find out about them, but once we did, research proved this to be the best product. It has done wonders for his paws! They stay nice and hydrated year-round with regular use of this product.Unfortunately, I did have some issues with it. It was very difficult and messy to apply. While it does dry quickly, there was no good way to apply it without making a mess. It also stains if it happens to spill. At First I just tried dripping it on, but it was inaccurate and didn't cover some of the problem areas on the paws. Next I used a cotton swab, but it absorbed it too much and the cotton would get torn on the dry bits of his paw pad. Finally i used a small bit of sponge. This finally worked, but i had to keep it with the product and off any surfaces (staining). It was a wonderful product, but the stench filled up the area where i kept the sponge.I would reccomend it to any animal owner with the same problems, but with caution.

It works!
We backpack sometimes upwards of 15 miles with our Bully, his feet always have tears or cracks even with the use of booties/balms both of which he doesnt really enjoy. Some of my friends who have working cattle/hunting dogs recommended this to me, within a week I noticed his feet are definitely harder and have more traction, two scrapes he had plus some redness have also healed faster than usual; I've only been applying once a day as people have told me it can actually make the pads to brittle and crack if over used. The smell isn't the worst, it smells mostly like Rubbing Alcohol to me with an after smell of herbs; my dog doesn't mind the spray, I see some people had issues with it but mine sprayed fine and did not stain.I wouldn't recommend allowing your dog to lick this however as it does contain Acetone, my dog didn't even try to (I think the smell put him off 😅)It dries within 10 seconds, I have my dog flip on his back like for belly rubs and spray his feet that way.I've also been spraying a little on his elbows where there's pressure marks from laying down and it seems to help harden that area too.Overall will be buying again to keep in my stock of dog stuff.

Toughened up his lil feet so they could hit the street
My rescue boy was a tender foot when he came out of the shelter. This all-natural liquid was easy to use, smelled nice, and did the trick. After a week, Cannoli was able to hike trails and pound city sidewalks with his peppy lil gait showing off his cuteness like a pain-free boi.

Bottle leaked in transit
This is a good product,. I've used it before and like it. This time however the bottle leaked in transit into the inside of the box. There was no other packaging, not sealed bag nothing. Nearly half the contents of the bottle leaked out, although I could find not apparent damage to the bottle. Since it was a "no return" item, Amazon refunded my purchase price which is more than acceptable. I will order another and hope it will arrive intact.

Helps Dog’s Paws
We have been using Tuf-Foot for years and it really is amazing. We dog sit and lots of the dogs who come to us don’t get regular exercise- walks or playtime. This can cause problems when they stay at our house because our dogs take two walks everyday plus a playtime session at lunch. We have found that guest dogs feet get sore and cannot handle the new activities. All our guest dogs love walks so we tried shoes which most dogs hate and then balm which never really prevented the sore paws from happening. We spray all guest dog’s paws with Tuf Foot immediately after they arrive and then twice per day for the duration of their stay. We have two Daschunds who went from being unable to go on daily walks to leading the walks and wanting to run. Their paws hold up just fine. The key to Tuf-Foot is reapplication. For our purposes we find that re-applying is the only way it works. Our Aussies have never needed it, but we are so grateful to have it so our guest dogs can join in and get some much needed and loved activities.
