Potting Soil

Exactly as pictured, I received two packs of coir yesterday. I've used this brand of coir before and it's exactly the same as always and quickly delivered. Very happy and will definitely order again when I need more!For those that haven't used this product before, the bag is fine to mix up in but not strong enough to store after mixing and you may need to mix it outside or in a tray as it may leak just a little. Soak as directed and then be prepared to fluff it up with your hands or a garden tool. If you aren't getting as much as expected or it doesn't seem like regular soil to you, you probably need to work it over more to break up the block. It's fantastic for seeds as it doesn't have much nutrients, and I've successfully mixed it with other things to make up my own potting soil recipes. It's a little more work but it does mean that it's a small and light thing to store until you're ready to mix it up, so to my mind it's well worth it if like me you don't have a big shed or greenhouse to put things in.

If you havent uses coir before i would say this is a good place to start. A decent size block and the fact you can rehydrate it in the package it comes in is a big plus in my book. It feels good only a few overly large bits in it. If you are considering using coir but havent taken the plunge yet i would say start here.Will just wait to see how well it acts as my growing medium

I hate creepy crawlies and wouldn't dare touch the smallest of bugs. This is perfect for people like me. No bugs means 5 stars from me. It smells nice too. I couldn't break up the amount I needed because it's so tightly pressed together. I repotted three indoor plants using this coir and still have a lot left over. I've read online that you can still store the moist coir in shade but you have to turn it every couple of days. When it dries out, you can use it whenever you need it in future.Please note that the delivery is signed for so if you're not in, it goes to the Post Office collection office.

The fibres are tightly matted so it needs breaking up if you're not using it as a block. I'm not sure about 10litres once fully soaked but there's certainly more litres than you start with. Useful for office plants!

Fantastic, love it. Produced a great amount of soil once hydrated and is easy and quick to use. Easy to store as well. Will definitely be ordering more as it allows such good drainage for pot plants, which is essential in any apartment. My plants are loving it.
