Exactly what I needed
Just finished a solo winter hike in the mountains. The path I was on was steep and unstable the whole way. I know there are better poles than these, but when I hiked out back to my car, coming down the mountain in an ice storm with frozen ground, mud, and rocks the entire way, having these to help support my descent was essential. I had a very havy pack, I don't know if I could have made it home safely without these as reliable supports.

Not recommend
The locking mechanism quickly. Both sets of these poles had the same malfunction. Poor quality and there are much better options

Twist locks are a pain and the poles interior rusts over time
I got these on the recommendation of a friend and was initially happy when I saw the specs. However, I use these to hold up my tent and getting the twist locks to lock at an exact height is a pain. You inevitably end up being a little short or a little longer than intended. The quick lever locks are way better. I also saw several reviews of the inside of the poles rusting if even slightly wet and the poles not being able to collapse for storage. Highly recommend getting quick lock poles to avoid aggravation - something like the Cascade Carbon Fiber from Costco are half the price and so much better. Not recommended!

Super light weight, stronger than Leki poles, but not most comfortable cork grip
Really good. Light weight. Strong. Felt stronger than Leki equivalent (even though Leki double the price).Grip is 3/5. Cork feels good quality. But shape is lacking. Leki feels a lot more comfortable in hand.Rubber ends for road walking are not very good either. I use Leki equivalent. But weigh means I’ll still give this 4/5.Used for a three week hike around SW coast path.

Excellent light weight walking poles
I use these walking canes, averaging about 5 miles a day, over all types of terrain. They are light but sturdy. I could not be more pleased with them

Rubber tip covers are poor quality
The poles are light, strong and comfortable, however, the rubber tip covers provided for road walking split after two walks covering a total of 10 miles. They were also not very grippy, so the pole kept slipping. I have swapped to using Leki ones which also fit and they have a metal cap inside that stops the tungsten tip from poking a hole through the rubber.
