An Excellent Book
This is an excellent book which I bought for my nephew who is studying WW1 at school. I feel this is a great present for any child as it is well illustrated and has sufficient content. I particularly liked the illustrations which make learning the topic very enjoyable, in particular the pages on the Battle of the Somme. I look forward to the next books in this series.

Good for young children but over simplified in some parts
Arrived before estimated delivery. Book was smaller than I expected. Good for young children but over simplified in some parts.

Simple History
History is not my favourite but found this very precise and to the point! As with the other book in the series by Daniel Turner, found it to be very attractive in every way for easy reading. I would like the author to continue producing these books as these are perfect for anyone wanting to learn especially young minds.

Great introductory book on one of the most tragic periods in history for kids
This simple yet elegant book summarizes well the bloody opening chapter of the previous century, and hopefully a new generation of kids growing up reading this book will learn to avoid repeating the same mistakes as a century ago.

I wanted to find books that would satisfy him without getting into stuff like Auschwitz
My 6.5 yo wanted to read about the world wars, but the librarian at school won't let them check out those books until they're older. I wanted to find books that would satisfy him without getting into stuff like Auschwitz. I got him both WWI and WWII of this series, and they were perfect - he got to look at pictures of weapons and a broad overview of the wars, but nothing that he wasn't ready for, age-wise.

An entertaining book for kids!
Simple History's guide to WWI is a fun and short little book for kids. The illustrations are simple enough that they can be replicated by kids which we know love to draw. My son enjoyed reading it as an introduction to when he studies it at school. I like reading this book myself as an adult too. There were a few things I learnt about the first world war that I never even knew.Look forward to more for my children!
