Tonic StudiosRetractable Craft Pick, Black/Grey

I purchased this an additional tool to use whilst die cutting shapes. My previous tool was a basic wooden handled affair that did an okay job but I'd seen this on television and decided to try it. Am so glad that I did. Only just received it but already can see the benefits. Having a retractable blade means I can safely take it with me when crafting without worrying that I'm going to stab myself! It's an advantage to be able to change the length of the blade as it allows for use with different materials etc. The end is very sharp and it's narrow meaning I can get out bits and bobs of card from even the most intricate and delicate of cutting dies. I like the loop at the top as it means I can hang it up or attach it to a key fob for example. It's only a small simple tool but it's great and it looks and feels like it is going to last. A great buy for only five pounds!

I already have a tattered lace pokey tool which I love but wanted one which retracted for my craft box.I was a bit dubious at first when I ordered it but was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I could find no fault with it. It is very sturdy and easy to use and means I don't damage anything in my craft box or get jagged in the hand any more when looking for it.I love Tonic and it is another excellent product from a top notch company!

Great for travelling and nice to hold

I had to double-check this make was Tim Holtz as the quality is surprisingly poor. The retractable blade is a good concept (allows portability e.g. if going to a craft-along). but the tool and its sliding mechanism don't feel particularly robust at least not as sturdy and well-built as I'd expect of a leading make like Tim Holtz.This should be half the price, indeed I see from one reviewer that it used to be half the price.Unfortunately there are few, if any, alternative retractable pokey tools like this one.

Very useful tool, wondered how I lived without it. Have a couple of picks but this is definitely sturdy and long. If I have a small criticism its that the tool itself is very pointed (good) but it isn't thin for long, so to unplug some of my glue stems it doesn't go down far enough but as it hasn't been made for this purpose I have given 5 stars. Love the fact that its retractable as it does save you stabbing yourself.

This is the best 'pokey' tool I have used. I love the fact that I can retract the point easily so I don't cause any damage to fingers, or toes if it rolls onto the floor! It has a lovely soft rubber grip so is also easy to hold if using it for extended periods of time for any intricate tasks. This was bought to replace an identical tool that I have had for many years.

great idea, safe and no problem to leave it out on my craft desk. if you dont know what it is, it looks like a pen! Its only as you extract the pick that it all becomes clear, pick comes out around the three inch mark, if not a tad more. i found this to be extra safe, and perfect for my needs.
