I've watched Ilya Kuvshinov on Instagram and DeviantArt for a few years now and finally purchased this book. It now rests on my top shelf on desplay next to Loish and Makoto Shinkai's art books, all of which I've read and still look at for inspiration! However, I wish there was a section on how he creates certain drawings as that would be brilliant to read and write about in future studies for my uni course! Aside from that I would still buy it and have even recommend him to fellow friends!

I wish this book wasn't just 99% pictures. Every page is dedicated to a piece, and there are several pages in the back dedicated to sketches, but I wish the artist had included some of the thought processes behind each piece. There are some pages full of writing (maybe 5 pages) but when you consider that most of the pages are dedicated to Japanese text, it's not a lot of information.Don't get me wrong, the art is gorgeous, but for an "Art Of" book this is lacking. Other "Art Of" books are very informative and can teach you a lot about art. If you love the artist, get this anyway to support him financially, but the fact remains that this is basically a picture book. You can view everything on Deviantart.

Ilya Kuvshinovs artwork is like getting lost in a sea of faces that you never want to leave.The quality of the book is amazing, and goes great with my *cough* small collection of artbooks.If you've never seen this artists work before, it's 1billion percent worth checking out.

This has become my go to artbook when it comes to giving me that boost of inspiration to keep creating on tough days. From beautifully rendered drawings, to lovely sketches of intimate moments in everyday life, this is truly a must for all fans of Ilya's wonderful work.

A master of his craft and this book is a must have if you're a fan.
