Hard to believe but it is actually not easy to find a decent magnifying glass. This is it! It magnifies well, which apparently not all do. It is very nice looking so you can leave it out to use when needed. It comes in a really nice leather (I think leather) case and in a nice gift box. I am very happy with my purchase and I will be buying another! It arrived promptly.

I've ordered two of these magnifiers before. i ordered another because i misplaced one. T hen, as luck would have it, one of Murphy's laws kicked in and as soon as i ordered the third one, the lost one appeared! It was delivered the day after I placed my order. By the way, I had some difficulty with Amazon several weeks ago having to do with a password you wouldn't accept or something like that.. It was very confusing and went on for hours, with my being asked to open a different account. My frustration level was very high so I stopped the transaction and bought what I wanted from Walmart. I've shopped with Amazon for years and felt bad that the problem had occurred. When I wanted the third magnifier Walmart didn't carry it, so I thought I'll give Amazon another try. Everything went swimmingly! You accepted my password without a hitch, my original account was in place , you had all that i wanted and it was all delivered the next day. i don't know what happened to cause the snafu earlier but I'm hoping that the ease of this last transaction continues. I'm glad to be back.

This gleaming gold magnifier works beautifully and is just the right size for my desk. Came carefully packaged with a case and gift box, so it would be excellent as a gift. Seller answered an email question promptly. Great magnifier. Excellent value and service.

It could have an adjustable lens and/or a light and it is pricey.

Nice size, shape, weight, and style. Simple but elegant. Got this as a gift for my 5 year old daughter. Has a nice carrying pouch to protect it when not in use. Highly recommend. Happy with purchase.

I presented these along with some tricky jigsaw puzzles for Christmas presents. The magnifying glasses are beautiful, weighty, and come with a nice case and presentation box. Very impressive for the price.

Positives - beautiful, solid & seems well made, would make a nice gift with the box/pouch, magnifies reasonably well with minimal distortions.Drawback - its solid & made of metal & glass, which makes it heavy! The lens is good, but doesn't come close to German or Japanese made lenses, of course the price reflects this too.I ended up purchasing an acrylic lens magnifier with a clip/stand combo since I do detailed work that takes a long time.
