Crane Bell Suzu Brass Bicycle Bell with Steel Band Mount

I have tried many bells over the years and have found that other cyclist and pedestrians quite often ignore them.This one, however, will make them aware of your presence, just as their bladder empties into their pantaloons in the wake of the sonic boom that this little bugger lets out.On flicking the lever, your victim will be presented with a beautiful ringing tone, just above their ears level of tolerance, that will make them spin on their heels with a profanity upon their lips. The bell will then resonate beautifully, providing your hapless subject with a small but pertinent demonstration of the Doppler effect that will satisfy and leave them, feeling a little wet in the panty (from urine), but also calm and willing to show forgiveness for your prior misdemeanour.I have now fit these to all of my bikes (including my Brompton) and I couldn't be more pleased.It is a large bell so make sure you plan its location on your bars well, but the bell is well built, looks good and, as I have already mentioned, very loud.You would be a very silly monkey, indeed, if you didn't buy this product for your bike.

The bell I got looks functionally the same as this though the mounting is not a steel band, so this is a review of the ringing function of the bell. (Mine mounted easily. It has a hook-in-and-screw-up type of brass mount.)The bell works very well. The ability to vary the force used on the pinger allows a polite, pleasant ding if desired, or a really loud, full-on ring, or variations between these extremes. I tend to use a quiet little ring when I’m about to pass a pedestrian who is unlikely to stray into my path, just to let them know I’m around, and because it gives me an excuse to play a tune. If approaching a pedestrian walking down the middle of a shared path (or pedestrians walking abreast and taking up the entire path, or dogs on a long lead), I give a full-on ding from a distance and people seem to hear me and move.The sound of the bell is pleasant even when loud, and it resonates for an incredible length of time. It looks as though it should give good long service.

The media could not be loaded.  A replacement and a distinct upgrade. This is on my Gentleman's sit upright/ cheap-and-cheerful, which I use for shopping and work. The bell makes the bike look much more expensive that it is worth as it compliments the maroon paintwork beautifully. To be honest, I'm more worried about some nicking the bell than the bike!That lovely clear tone is like a gentle song singing 'let me pass, kind people'. I often get a smile as I go by.

Simple construction, easy to fit, and boy is it load and clear. Most bells supplied on bicycles are a poor excuse for a bell but this one is great. ( It is Loud, and continues to ring out after the initial impact ). Walkers etc. on foot and tow paths comment on how good it is.

I fail to understand all these averaging reviews for this bell; it may only be a bell but it’s a beautiful classic. The fittings may not be anything special themselves but once fitted (superbly easily) you don’t see them whatsoever and are just presented with the stunning light catching golden dome and a very satisfyingly simple yet reassuringly sturdily engineered ring lever.Then you ring the bell and behold as the true magnificence is revealed; just one simple ping and a sphere of utter joy instantly grows around all within earshot as people turn to point actually smiling in delight (even in London), the Sirens of mythology would change their tune if only they knew, the reception desk at the gates of heaven has one of these. It resonates clear and long unlike any mere bicycle bell before ever dared to dream, I have found myself going down to the bike shed late at night just to check it wasn’t my imagination before climbing into bed with an inane grin then falling into a content deep slumber.Yes you could buy cheaper or neater but surely you would missing out on this sonorous brass bliss ?

This is an outstandingly loud bell for its size. I've only been using this for a couple of days now on moderately busy roads and paths with no issues it seems to instantly warn people that I'm approaching. I bought this to replace a humongous Indian bike bell which lasted me 4 years until the internal spring failed due to the good old British june showers. The old bell had a super loud ding ding sound but this is just as loud if not a tad louder if you really flick the pinger firmly. The extended ding sound deffinatly attracts more attention compared to the standard ding-ding bells. This was simple to fit only took me a couple of minutes fixing this to my handle bars using the 22MM hole on the strap. One good thing about this bell is you can control the loudness of the sound to some extent once you get used to how much force you need to apply to the pinger for example when riding slowly a slight press will produce a much gentler extended ring whereas a full blown hard press/depress will produce an extremely long clear ding which will attract attention in most cases. I've never hurd of this brand of bell before so it was an impulse purchase after trying to read multiple reviews of bells and horns but I'm so glad I went for this model only time will tell how long it withstands the British weather.

Lovely looking bell, quality clear, long and loud ring. However. Attachment bracket not as advertised and it came without a rubber ring to prevent scratches whilst mounting on the bars.Hence only 4 star's.

The person I gave it to loved it. My husband found the ring quite obnoxious.

Ich bin einfach nur begeistert von dieser Glocke. Nach völlig einfacher Installation prangt die Suzu Bell nun schon seit eineinhalb Jahren an meinem Lenker. Ganz im Gegensatz zu der ab Werk montieren Billig-Schelle an meinem Bike war mit der Suzu Bell mehr als einmal klingeln bisher noch nie notwendig, und jeder macht einem sofort Platz. Durch die aufgrund der Lautstärke extrem hohen Reichweite der Suzu Bell kann man bereits aus großer Entfernung klingeln. Und durch den sehr langen Nachklang hört garantiert jeder das Läuten. So ist für Fußgänger etc. immer genügend Zeit, zur Seite zu gehen, sodass man nicht bremsen oder um die Fußgänger herum fahren muss. Gefährliche Situationen werden so vermieden.Die Verarbeitung ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Die Mechanik ist stabil und macht einen sehr haltbaren Eindruck. An der Suzu Bell werde ich sicherlich jahrelang meine helle Freude haben. Schon alleine deshalb, weil viele ganz ungläubig schauen, was da so laut und lange klingelt. Wohlgemerkt mit nur einem einzigen Anschlagen der Glocke.Wer eine konkurrenzlos laute Fahrradglocke zu einem unschlagbaren Preis sucht und sich an der klassischen Optik nicht stört, kann hier bedenkenlos zugreifen.

Da impresión de ser de calidad, todo metálico con una estupenda sonoridad. Fácil de colocar y se antoja muy fácil de desmontar, Creo que se podría tener algún método que dificultara su retirada, como mínimo una tuerca de auto bloqueo.

Suono potente e prolungato ma non fastidioso, sicuramente ben udibile dai pedoni fino ad una ventina di metri. Ha un suono "serio", che fa capire bene l'imminente transito di una bicicletta. Facile il montaggio, bellissima - a mio gusto - l'estetica un po' retrò, lucente (io l'ho acquistato color rame). Le dimensioni della levetta consentono una facile ed immediata "ricerca" con il pollice anche in situazioni di emergenza. Sembra anche piuttosto robusto, ma l'ho installato solo da un paio di settimane.
