The Secret (Extended Edition) [DVD]

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this DVD as I had heard about it through my niece....I'm sure I never moved through the whole viewing!! What shocked me the most was I found a lot of the information familiar, as I had already been doing some of the things mentioned and yet had been totally unaware of them! This dvd made me fully aware of, not only that I had already been living with the Secret, although only sporadically, but how I needed to extend this to the whole of my life! I found it exhilerating, encouraging, a real morale boost and a little crazy haha!! I would highly recommend this dvd to everyone, BUT some will get it and some will not and I think it's something that one should come across, almost by accident, because to me that means you are ready to receive the most amazing life changing information ever!! The only criticism I have is that I had to send back the first copy due to a break up of certain parts of the dvd, which I could not see or hear properly............and upon receiving the replacement copy I still had the same problem, only in 2 places on the dvd instead of 3!! Anyone else out there who has ordered this from Amazon had the same problem???? I would also mention that this is the very first time I have received a dodgy item from Amazon; I have been regularly buying from them for a number of years now and have never had a problem before this!! I love the Amazon site and their prices are amazing - keep up the good work!!

I am so glad a friend of mine told me about "The Secret". He lent me his audio version of it. I straight away purchased the DVD version after I had listened to it, as it really struck a cord with me and made so much sense. It's as if I have known about it since I was a kid, but didn't understand how it worked. I think that in about a month it has changed my life and the way I think, really unbelievable. I would say that I prefer the audio version, because there is more in it. I thought that I would prefer to watch it rather than listen to it, but I became so engrossed in both DVD and audio CD that it didn't matter which I played. I found the people in it really sincere especially Bob Proctor, what a lovely man

I was not an easy target, thinking that in God there are no secrets so this must be an un-Christian idea. However there is nothing beyond calling it a secret that I can say is not Christian. I was deeply moved by each of the Presenter's stories, from the profound situation of being labelled "learning disabled" to Lisa Nichol's very sad description of how, as a child, her role models were all like Wonder Woman, a skinny-hipped, blond white woman and how she had to learn to love, as she said, her 'fuller lips and rounder hips". This made me stop and think about our black girls and our not so skinny girls and their self images. I hope times have changed somewhat. As for "The Secret", I think it has a good message. I would like it to say a bit more about having joy for everyone and not just for oneself at the expense of others, for I feel sure that to seek joy, abundance etc and not be concerned for the needs of your neighbour would not bring true happiness. I like the theories and think it may work but would still advocate asking God's blessing and using the Bible as your best source for a guide for life, in particular the 10 Commandments and Jesus' Teachings.

To everyone who has watched this dvd and are not having the desired results or see it as being a bit far fetched, i want to explain to you that the application of the secret to your life, i.e. positive thinking and feeling against negative thinking, is the same sort of principle as working out at the gym. To get a great body and great health, you need to concerntrate on the amount of food you are eating and which ones are good for you. This along with cardio and weight training will get you great results BUT is takes time and dedication and you need to cut down on the junk food and sweets. Exactly like the secret. You have to take time and dedication to practice concerntrating on the things in life that make you feel good, like the new car, the good relationships, the big house (this is the excersise in my metaphore) and cut down on or completely eradicate concerntrating on the things that make you feel bad, however small, like "i hate it when ---- hapens, or i hope 'this' doesn't happen today cuz i hate that (or eating junk food and not excersiseng).This is just my way of explaining by the way, im not having a go at people who don't work out. The point is you need to think positivly and keep doing it untill all the little problems sort themselves out and you have a life of freedom and financial security and happiness. Sorry for going on so long, but if you have taken the time to read this and found it useful I hope you can apply it to your own life and help others do the same. I beleive the more people that can use the secret to become happy the world will be a safe happy place to live in. Think about the good, forget about the bad. Look after yourselves. The secret made me infinatly happier and wealthier, and as long as you know how to apply it you can to. Keep watching the dvd and watch 'the summary' in the extras with Bob Proctor, it explains it better than i have here. Good luck. and don't dismiss this secret, it works! once you leran how to use it, which is easier than you think.

It's a classic must ready.

The Secret DVD although a little Hollywood in its presentation; The Secret DVD does have a fundamental message about the" Law of Attraction". This law is, be grateful for what you have, be happy with what you have and more of the same will come to you, somehow. This message makes you aware of the fact that you are in control of your own life. The more grateful and satisfied you are with your lot, the more likely it is that you have a clear mind and are therefore open to clear thinking; any ideas to better yourself will come from you. When an idea comes to you or an invitation is extended to you "Take Action". It is after all what all successful businessmen do. They have an idea they do their homework and research then take action. This is the third time I have bought this DVD. The reason is, I have shown The Secret DVD to other family members, they were so impressed with the message that I gave them my own copies as gifts. I recommend "The Secret" to everyone. I believe everyone will get something out of this message. It gave me the courage to believe in myself and follow my instincts. I am very happy and grateful that I did.

I find the thinking behind this DVD very, very inspiring. The fact that like attracts like, if you are happy, you attract happiness and good things. It's always made perfect sense to me, and is true in my life. If you make statements like 'I don't want debt, illness etc..' it also makes sense to me that those are the things you attract, because you're dwelling on them. Like the kid that runs down the stairs when you said 'don't run down the stairs', the main bit of information is the stairs/ debt/ illness and the human brain is like a computer and that's all it can process, it doesn't pick up on the word 'don't/ don't want'. This is a widely held idea, Paul McKenna uses it a lot in his DVDs. I also believe in negative thinking affecting your health, and there's a lot of evidence behind that to, and the mind body link. But is the universe responding, can you make specific demands of it and reach out to it? Or is all of this positive thinking? Either way it's useful though, and far better than being in a negative, depressed mindset. But I wanted a bit more evidence, so I googled Byrne a bit. Byrne claims in the DVD/ book that she was given a 100 year old book by her daughter when she was going through turmoil. She was an Australian film/ tv producer type person with a bit of a history of making money and fleecing people. There was an old book, and these teachings are widely held, but she decided to rebrand it as a 'secret', with a red seal and ancient mystery and history behind it. All more appealing, new and marketable than the business minded, get rich quick books widely available, but with almost exactly the same message. She's also gone on to fleece people in the making of the film, and is being sued for unpaid money that was promised, there's more to it than that, if you care to find out more, but that's basically what she's done. Not very in keeping with the 'secret', as 'like attracts like', not very in keeping with the gratitude for what you already have, that you're supposed to feel in order for the secret to work. Paul Wilson, author of the little book of calm, says she's too simplistic and there's suspicion that she managed to attract all these great teachers from the present day. They offered their services on the film free of charge. So, personally I have been finding out more about them, Jack Canfield, John Assaraf etc, and the 'law of attraction' rather than Byrne's 'Secret'. Despite having made it to the Oprah Winfrey show, she appears, to me, to be a bit of a charlatan looking for a money making scam. Ok, the secret doesn't seem to state that you have to be moral in what you ask for, but I'd rather study the thinkings of the people featured in the film, because it's their life's work, than any 'take on it' of Byrne's from what I can see. I am following the 'laws of attraction', I've only recently been doing it avidly, but a couple of uncanny things have happened, we shall see.

I'd already read the book of The Secret and got a copy of the DVD, but wanted to get the DVD to give to my friend (who also has the book but never found time to actually read it). I got this bundle so that I could put the soundtrack from the CD onto my MP3 player. I found when I watched my DVD that it really brought the points in the book to life, and filled me with even greater enthusiasm about using them. I admit that the whole concept does sound a bit New Age-y but I can honestly say that it's really worked for me (and a number of people I know). If you try it with an open mind and stick with it then you might just find that your life becomes that little bit better. And if it doesn't then you could always give up and sell the book/DVD on Amazon Marketplace! If you want to find out more than what is included in The Secret then I'd recommend Esther and Jerry Hicks' books.

Purchase this dvd, watch and listen over and over again to get the most out it, then utilize the knowledge contained and be expectant and patient for people and things to come into manifestation, cool...

I read The Secret (Extended Edition) during a time when I was actively working on personal growth and mindset, and I can honestly say it made a strong impression on me. The core message about the power of thoughts and the law of attraction is presented in a very simple and motivational way. It really pushes you to become more aware of your thinking patterns and how much they influence your attitude, confidence, and daily decisions. Pros: The book is easy to read and very accessible, even if you’re new to self-development concepts. I appreciated the practical tone — it encourages gratitude, visualization, and positive thinking in a way that feels empowering. The extended edition adds more stories and examples, which help reinforce the ideas. After reading it, I found myself being more intentional about my goals and more optimistic overall. It’s definitely uplifting and can give you a mindset reset if you’re feeling stuck. Cons: That said, some parts can feel repetitive, and the concept may come across as overly simplified. It heavily emphasizes mindset but doesn’t always dive deeply into action plans or realistic obstacles. If you prefer highly analytical or evidence-based personal development books, this might feel a bit abstract. It really requires an open mind to fully appreciate the message. Overall, I think this is a great motivational read if you’re looking to shift your mindset and focus on possibility and positivity. It’s not a step-by-step strategy book, but it’s powerful for changing perspective and building belief in your goals.

This is a great DVD very motivational and instructive. It seems to have spawned a thousand copies. I was hoping for the original version with Esther Hicks but this one is still great. Very happy to get an English version. Highly recommended.

I have read self help and prosperity books for forty-five years. "Think and Grow Rich", "The Richest Man in Babylon","See You at The Top", "The Science of Getting Rich","Psycho Cybernetics","The Power of Positive Thinking", "The Seth Material", "The Peter Principle",Tibetan Book of the Dead, and several books by L. Ron Hubbard which didn't impress me enough to recall their titles. In all of these titles, I found a nugget or gem of truth, but because I could only appreciate them intellectually and compare each with other works of a similar nature, I never got beyond a "reviewer's perspective". I could argue the merits and demerits of each volume. Yet, my life was not better for my intellectual appreciation. Then one day, out of nowhere, steped a little Australian blond named Rhonda Byrne who opened her hand to reveal an encrusted ancient key saying, "Were you missing this, mate?" Tears welled in my eyes because I was missing that key! What's the key? I suppose I could say the key is revealed in the work entitled "The Secret"; get a copy. But I won't do that because you might be like me and desperately need this information. Get this now! The key to "The Secret" IS DOING IT AND LIVING IT! Keep the Gratitude Diary every day. Meditate. Take time out to just go out and walk and breathe deeply. Don't appreciate this secret intellectually by comparing it to other tomes and self help works. LIVE THE SECRET. When you get the "gratitude attitude" and realize just who you are instead of who you are told by science and religion you are, you will turn your life around setting course for new vistas of happiness and prosperity. Realize first, happiness and joy must come before any material benefits you anticipate or desire. As Jack Canfield says, "If it ain't fun, don't do it." Never truer words were spoken. The point to get is really going to rough up your fur; especially if your are religious or skeptical. No matter that science says you evolved from a gob of goo or that religion says you are an unworthy sinner needing repentance and salvation; when you "GET"(comprehend) The Secret, you will realize God isn't OUT THERE God is YOU!(in here). You are God. God is eternal. God comes into form, moves through form, and moves out of form eternally. If you also get the CD "What the Bleep Do We Know?" and "What the Bleep Do We Know...Down The Rabbit Hole?" you will find physicists beginning to agree that quantum physics points to the reality of the Universe being THOUGHT. In the billions and billions of light years of cubic space extending forever in all directions away from our planet Earth, there has never been found any other life or life forms for the last fifty years of NASA investigations,Seti radio astronomy, and space probes. Despite the fact that Science earnestly desires to find intelligent life in the Universe, it won't. Despite the fact that fundamentalists of every religion propound salvation comes only to true believers and ardent upholders of faith, salvation comes when humanity realizes the ideal of godhood manifesting everything by the power of pure thought. Sounds like I am a new convert to a new and very subtle religion, doesn't it? Yet, I am only explaining what an impact this volume has had on my life. Americans are performance driven. Not seeing immediate results always gives the lie to such claims by this perspective. Yet, performance varies with experience and skill. No, I am not yet rich. But, I will be. And, it will come by my perfect understanding of and practice living the Secret. The really funny thing is the secret has been revealed in every one of the books I mentioned above. It is in the Christian Bible, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, the Koran, and Vedas. It is out there for anyone to see. But, I didn't see it until that little Australian blond, Rhonda Byrne had the faith and guts to publish "The Secret". The CD is simply a mind blower. She got all the great minds together who really understand who they are and what the secret is in practice. If you want to change your life and prosper, say "Yes" when that little Australian blond comes to with her hand outstretched saying as she reveals a beat up old key in the palm of her hand, "Missing this, mate?" Get"The Secret", Live "The Secret", and prosper by "The Secret".
