Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight had only completed 47 passes all season entering the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl against Alabama, but the freshman registered a Sugar Bowl-record 32 completions and set an OU bowl record with four touchdown passes against the Crimson Tide to lead the Sooners to a 45-31 victory in New Orleans. Knight stepped up on the biggest stage of his young career for OU (11-2), finishing the game with 348 yards against an Alabama squad that entered the game ranked fifth in the nation in total defense.
