Custom fittings for a truly custom look.
I've been restoring and restomodding a few old Volkswagen Beetles for my daughter and a buddy of mine who collects them lately and one of the things we have started to begin doing is installing modern radio sound systems into the old bugs. One of the things you invariably need for mounting speakers in the doors is a way to keep the wiring from being pinched or crushed in the door jambs. On the first job we did I engineered a nice solution by arranging a nylon sheath over the wires and slipping them through some rubber grommets I had arranged on both sides of the jamb so the nylon would slide in and out of the doors as they are opened and closed. Fast forward a year and a half and wouldn't you know it, its time to add speakers to my daughter's beetle. These Batoneco wire harness units fit the bill almost perfectly to give us the exact same tidy setup I needed once again. The all metal loom wrap and door grommets with nuts to secure them are a bit bigger than what we used before but I just mounted them higher in the doors to compensate for the needed room up in the top of the a pillar jamb area. I also lubricated the sheaths with silicone spray and applied a small amount of thread locker to secure the grommets' nuts. So far so good other than a few fine frays on the woven part of the sheath I had to turn so they aren't seen, (hence the 4 star rating) and we had to cut the body side grommet threads a bit shorter and notch them to keep wiring from being pinched in the area below the windshield. It's not unexpected in this type of work but the results will speak(er) for themselves.

Great product
I think these are great for project cars. I'm not sure they will hold up to a daily driver or something with heavy use, but for a light used vehicle or an antique, they are perfect.Would buy again for another project.

Great for cleaning up speaker wire in door
I installed these on my 1970 chevy C-20 pickup. The previous owner had somebody drill holes and route the speaker wire from the 6x9 in the door to the amplifier underneath the seat. To say the least they did a horrible job. These stainless steel door jam wire connectors cleaned everything up and make it look like a professional audio/stereo installation. The threaded part was too long for what I needed so I had to cut it to length with a hacksaw and file it smooth. Other than that I'm happy with the quality and price.

A bit smaller than I thought
I snatched these up for use on my shop truck a 1976 C10.The truck itself was all manual for the doors, no wiring whatsoever. So I planned to convert the truck to full power.Power Windows, power Locks, and Speakers, The issue arises where I say its smaller than i thought, is the amount of wires that need to run into the door and fitting them thru this loom. The amount of wires if I include speakers is a bit to much for this loom, so ive had to modify my plans a bit.As far as longevity of the black, if you look very close at the loom, it seems to be black painted stainless line, because if you move a strand of wire, its stainless underneath, not more black.Overall they seem like they will work very well as long as the amount of wiring needed will fit inside the loom
