Product The Semogue 820 Pure Bristle Shaving brush is a great looking brush with contemporary European styling. It features a subtle concave hexagonal solid acrylic handle, which features an eye catching transparent two tone design and is available in stunning red with crystal clear contrast. The handle carries the unmistakable 'Excelsior' badge and is topped with a 'silver' collar, which holds the renowned Semogue densely filled Pure Boar Bristle loft. A beautiful looking brush with excellent performance. Hand Made in Portugal. Available in Black or Red. How to use The brush bristles should be wet (not soaking) before use. Load the loft with soap or cream and apply to the areas to be shaved, using a strong circular motion. This softens the hairs and also raises them ready for shaving. We strongly recommend the following aftercare for your brush; When finished always rinse the brush under hot water (especially at the base of the bristles) to remove any remaining soap residue which can result in damage to the bristle and cause early shedding of the loft. The brush should then be stored loft facing down to dry. This can be achieved by using a shaving brush stand and prevents the bristles rotting at the base due to moisture. Recommended for Both shaving creams and shaving soaps and all skin types. Grooming tip When applying a shaving lather to your skin always use strong circular movements to help soften and raise the hairs and prepare the skin for shaving. Dimensions A. Overall Height 102mm B. Loft Height 55mm C. Base Height 47mm D. Loft Width 50mm E. Knot Diameter 22mm shaving-brush-guide.png (All dimensions are approximate) Made in Portugal.

No Backbone.......
This is the second Semogue brush I have purchased, and both times the bristles came out constantly. I returned my first one for this reason, I got a replacement and the same happened to that. I contacted the company in Portugal who were quite helpful and said this happened, but I’ve since replaced it with a Yacqi synthetic, wow, what a difference. The Semogue is way too soft to whip up a lather, hence it’s been made redundant and probably used as a spare. These have little backbone both too short and soft.I’m sorry, I won’t use these again, I’ve struggled long enough.
