This basket light fixing is excellent and the only commercially available solution to fitting a light to a front basket. However, it has to be fitted as illustrated on the package. It goes on the front and grips the basket mesh .. not the back handle, not just on the wire frame. Look at the photo on the package and fit it like it shows! Most of the negative reviews have been fitted wrong & nearly put me off buying it.

This has been a really useful piece of kit and has transformed the way I use my front basket. Before I got this, I was only half filling my basket with shopping and having to squash everything down so that my handlebar-mounted front light wasn't obstructed. Now I can use the full capacity of my basket without worrying about obscuring the front light. An added bonus is that, because the light is attached to my basket, when I remove the basket, I've got the light safe too, and carry them around together. I was worried that the light clip might not fit on the basket, which has a drawstring cover, but it was totally fine: I fitted it in around 2 minutes and it has stayed firmly in place despite being bumped over many potholes etc. Hurrah for Rixen & Kaul, who understand the needs of everyday cyclists!

Really useful piece of kit. Highly recommend to anyone looking to add a light to their city bike. It fits on the rim of your basket. There are two screws to fit it together and ensure it stays in place even on the bumpiest roads. Bike light can then be set on top.

Seems to be good quality in terms of product material. But did not fit my basket so had to return. I did think all black wire baskets would be kind of universal but they obviously aren't as it didn't hold and just fell over once screwed on.

The clip was easy to attach onto my metal basket, and initially worked very well. However, the light I own is fairly heavy, tended to waggle the clip back and forth, and after a while needed to be adjusted frequently. This didn't bother me at first, but became progressively worse as the basket itself became more and more damaged by the waggling clip - I now have a large rusty hole on one side of my basket! I have now moved the clip over onto a different part of my basket where there is a panel that holds the clip a bit more steadily. I haven't so far had the same problem.

The clamp is too small for my Rixen and Kaul bike basket.

The circular section holds the light firmly in place. But the section that secures to the rim of the basket is not a firm hold, therefore the klick fix shakes quite a bit as you ride along. I think it all depends on the size of the rim of the bike basket that the klick fix is being attached to. I hope this makes sense. I would buy the klick fix again and again. I am just going to find a little bit of plastic to surround the gap.
