IMSCompetitive Precision 2 Cup Basket 12/18 gr - B70 2T H24.5 M

I have the Gaggia classic pro (2019) and use the bottomless portafilter - this will pop in if you force it, but it’s not stable and can easily pop back out. The basket you need is B68 2T H24.5 M. I had to return this one. It would not stay in the regular double portafilter at all.

It’s an e61 sized (58mm) portafilter basket. It is well manufactured and flows coffee evenly (assuming you’ve done your job with puck prep).

I have been able to pull much shots much more consistently than with the stock Gaggia filter basket. Not sure if that's saying much, but after a rough several months of pulling very inconsistent and at times undrinkable shots, this seemed to help right the ship. The finish is still gleaming and perfect after almost a year of daily use, too. I'm a happy and caffeinated camper now. (Gaggia Classic, Gaggia MDF grinder)

Has a very satisfying snap-in and fits perfectly in the 58mm Joe Frex bottomless portafilter for the Gaggia Classic Pro.I would say this size is the "true double" since the other version of this portafilter was leaning closer to the 19-21g range for my coffees with this one in the 15-17g range.

Nice upgrade for Gaggia classic after a year of use. Seems easier to clean.

Much better than the baskets the espresso machines come with.Perfect, consistent shot every time. The puck is dry and doesn't stick to the basket.

Works well and extracts very evenly with proper technique but some grinds get through every time. It's possible that my grinder, the Niche Zero, creates too many fines but I didn't have this problem with my stock basket.

I had a larger model I was using for a double portafilter for two small cups, and then a stock basket I was using for "single" shots (large ones). Trouble was the holes were not uniform from the stock to my other IMS, so here I got myself another smaller IMS, and now the hole-size is uniform, and I can keep the same grind. Works like a charm.

Ich nutze den Basket an meiner Rancilio Silvia Pro im bodenlosen und doppelten Auslauf Portafilter. Mit exakt 18g ist der Basket noch weit unter der Linie gefüllt und der Puck sehr nass. Auch kommt es auf Grund der geringen Füllhöhe vermehrt zu Channeling. Erst ab 19g verbessert sich die Situation, der Puck ist allerdings immer noch sehr nass. Für mich scheint dies im Vergleich zum Triple Basket von Rancilio eher ein echter 20/21 g Basket zu sein. Dies scheint sich auch darin zu bestätigen, dass IMS mittlerweile den B702TH24.5M nicht mehr im Sortiment hat und diesen mit dem B702TCH24E ersetzt. Letzterer ist 0.5mm flacher und ebenfalls mit 12/18g angegeben. Allerdings hat dieser nicht die Kerbe, um den Basket im Portafilter zu halten.
