China SIM Card 2GB 4G LTE data + 50 mins local calls or 100 local texts, Incoming Calls and Texts

I activated the SIM card when it arrived in the UK. The check balance texts didn't work in the UK, but this is normal. On arrival in China whilst taxiing to the terminal, the card worked immediately. Due to the network provider updating their systems shortly after I arrived, I could not access data etc. However, the customer service email response was excellent and they replied instantly, found out what the problem was and everything was quickly sorted (it was a network provider issue and nothing to do with the SIM). The SIM worked everywhere I went in China - Guangzhou, Xi'An, Shanghai, Beijing and on the high speed trains when the signal rarely went less than 4G. I even had 4G on top of The Great Wall! I could use my VOIP app to call around the world with no internet issues. In China a 4G signal works throughout the metro systems. I was in China for 16 days and only used 1GB! I was constantly on the mapping app to work out routes and I used the internet a great deal through the SIM card. Everything worked perfectly. This SIM card made my trip fantastic as it was totally reliable.

Product came and registration was easy enough. Using the SIM card in China was horrible. Everything was in Chinese. When I was about to go over my data I bought a 2gb top up for 30 USD. But due to the time it took to register it went over the data limit and they then charged for me for this and wouldn’t let me use my 2gb of additional data until I paid this fee. This fee was 230 yuan and you can only top up in 100s, so this was another 60 USD. I ended up having to pay 80 usd for 2 GB more of data. Avoid this product at all costs, they just trick you into giving money to them.

I should have aware of one of the comments about the package, as it was no package but the tiny sim card which is like when you are going to put inside your phone. For a careless person like me, this is not good as I have just lost it. i recommend them to give a proper thing to cover it so when you put away you won't lose it like I did.

This is a fully functional Chinese sim card. It works both in China and abroad, and is ideal for short trips. However, if you are moving to China then you will require a phone number associated with the particular area you will live in. The location of the number that you receive with this card may not correlate to your area of residence.

Overall fantastic purchase, used it for my 3 weeks long trip all around China. Run out of data on the last day, literally sitting at the airport waiting for a plane back home. One thing to mention - I was not notified of my credit being low in any way, if this happened in the middle of my trip I would be slightly upset.Other than this, worked perfectly well with my old Iphone, made a lot face time calls, email and internet without limit, nice one!

A con . The data soon disappears in a day or two as one reviewer noted. At the higher price you pay for this convience of getting a SIM card you would of thought the check your balence would be in English .I’ve noted my Chinese friends have no problem connecting to the internet and it seems that if you can get them to get you a local SIM card they can get you a better deal and no issues getting on line. This international SIM card seems a con as data soon runs out and difficulty getting on line- stay away and note reviews of recent Chinese Unicom - don’t buy . I bought two and top up with 6 gb- guess what lasted two days just checked email no video

I bought this for a two week business trip to China. It worked brilliantly between Guangzhou and Shanghai, Wifi in hotels is sometimes poor but I nearly always had a 4G connection using the sim with my iPhone 6. The speeds are not as good as in the U.K. But they were still good enough to send emails, messages etc.Would buy again without hesitation.

can't use in Hong Kong or Macau, and talk time running out just a few minutes, not worth it.
