An excellent pop punk album!
After reading the good review's on Amazon, I decided that I was going to get an Ataris album and in the end I choose 'anywhere but here'(the main reason for this was it had the most tracks on it). Before I started listening to it I thought it will be a 'ok' album, but after I push play on my stereo I was quite amazed how good it was considering this was there first full album. They play at a fast and furious pace with the 21 songs + hidden track lasting in total under 40 minutes, but thankfully each song is excellent and the best tracks in my opinion are 'make it last', 'boxcar', 'four chord wonder' and 'hey kid'.To me they sound like a cross between Greenday, Blink 182 (old stuff) and New found glory and if you like any of those bands then you will love this album.

A catchy first release
This is The Ataris' debut album, which had a good 3 or so weeks in my stereo back when it was released. 'Anywhere but here' has a fine collection of pop punk tunes with catchy guitar riffs and very emotional lyrics(mainly about girls). This is well worth a listen if you are in to the Fat Wreck Chords type of sound. And if you buy it, and like it, their second album is even better!
