BT50 Brown Paper Framers Masking Tape 50mm x 50m

I use framing tape on a regular basis and everything I have purchased in the past always feels like a traditional 'masking tape' - this has a slightly 'plasticy' feel to it and seems to be a lot stronger and resistent to moisture - adheres very well so I'm happy with my purchase.Click 'HELPFUL' below if you found this useful ;)

Like an idiot I bought this and I have found it to be not the kind of tape that I like using when doing my picture frames!The tape has a glossy(ish) waxy coating to the brown side and I would have preferred more of a paper(ish) surface, I also find it to be too stiff and generally unflexible when covering over the framing mount pins.And finally, the adhesive is so very sticky I find it to gum up the scissors when cutting the tape!

This is not what I ordered. It is plastic parcel tape not paper framing tape. The inner plastic bag had the right label on it, but when I opened that it was bog standard parcel tape. Unusable for my project and expensive for something I would get in the pound shop. Couldn't start project last month because of injury and now there is no option of returning it.

to call this framer's tape is grossly misleading:the tape doesn't seal anything: corners and edges lift within hours, no matter how firmly stuck down. it's not possible to make a corner because the tape doesn't stick to its back. the backing is made of some non-stick plastic. nothing adheres to it, self-adhesive strips not even bluetac. on slim frames, it's then not possible to use foam pads to protect the wall.

I’ll use this tape for packaging, but not for framing. I should have looked more carefully before clicking ‘Buy’ as it is not the kind I had bought last time, which was more like paper and also would lift off. This is extremely sticky and permanent. It’s also coated with what feels like plastic.

Have previously used Hobbycraft product, which has been fine, but had another dram in g job to do for my daughter & guessed that I didn’t have enough of the original to finish so ordered this.Hadn’t appreciated it was self adhesive until using it & that was certainly an added bonus!Stuck well, easy to work with - did the job!

It's paper tape, good price and sticks well.It isn't like masking tape, you have to wet it to activate the adhesive.But then I wasn't actually sure what I was doing, so I can't blame the seller for that.However my daughter is happy with it for her art project.Good price
