Great replacement for the incandescent bulb in our Ryobi flashlight!
Last year, my friend lost all his power for a few days. A tree came down and took out the power right in front of his residence. I quickly assembled all of the powered devices I could find to help get him and his through the next few days. I had a Ryobi flashlight with an incandescent bulbs, like something you'd find in the nose of the patient in the game Operation. Super-quickly, I ordered these replacement LEDs, and I think they came the next day, and because they were so efficient, they lasted far longer than the incandescent bulbs, even if this LED replacement isn't considered by many to be a huge improvement over brightness. That said, I didn't notice a significant lack of light. The replacement LED bulb seemed to do what it promised to do, i.e. provide a decent amount of light, while saving some battery life.

Good Replacement Bulb for Maglite
I bought a pair of these bulbs to upgrade two older 3-cell Maglites. While brand new LED Maglites may be slightly brighter, these replacement bulbs are far brighter than the original incandescent bulbs. Good coverage, too. I had bought another company's flashlight LED bulbs a while ago. These are much better and I would recommend these if you too, are looking to do an upgrade of an older flashlight. Perfect fit. And less expensive than buying new 3-cell Maglites !

Works great in my Home Depot Ryobi flashlight!
Works great in my Home Depot Ryobi flashlight!Pros:Doesn't get hot. Way better than the incandescent bulb the flashlight came with.I have used the bulb for nearly 2 years now and no flickering. It makes the battery last much much longer. 4-5 times longer without needing a recharge.Cons:Light is not as diffused like an incandescent bulb. Careful not to point it towards anyone's face.

Better than the incandescent it replaced
Much brighter, & whiter than the incandescent bulb it replaced. Not quite as bright as I expected but far better than what it replaced. Brought an old light back to life.

Great Upgrade
WOW.......A big difference from my old Krypton bulb. Seems to be working well for the last month, used almost daily. No loss in brightness, no blinks. Would highly recommend.

Much Brighter Light with Longer Battery Life
Purchased this to replace bulb in DeWalt 18v flashlight. I use this flashlight a lot and often leave it on for an entire work session of an hour or more. The light from the old bulb was somewhat uneven and faded as the battery discharged. This new bulb is exceptionally bright with a more neutral color temp (less yellow than the old bulb). It throws a wide and bright cone of light. The only issue is that it is more bright right in the center, but that can be a good thing when working up close. I don't see this as a problem, but wanted to mention it. I may buff the small lens over the LED to create a more diffuse light in the center.{Subsequent Note} - I spent some time with this last night. The bright, center spot is a result of the flashlight reflector cone and how high the bulb sits therein. If I lower the bulb, I get an even illumination in the cone of light. I will tweak this so the top of the bulb sits flush with the DeWalt reflector cone. Thus, this is not a problem with the bulb but more with the DeWalt flashlight. As mentioned, I don't see this as an issue, but wanted to be accurate as to this point. The bulb change took just seconds (a perfect fit for the old one), and I was blown away with how much brighter my favorite flashlight now is. I am very happy with this purchase.

beam spread, distance & 'trick'
Bought these as LED replacements for older incandescent Ryobi 18v lights. They are fine for the minimal investment. Maybe can find better, I am not comparing to others, except I have a 5+ year old LED in another older Ryobi, light, these are better. More detail; I do low voltage landscape lighting professionally & am pretty good at identifying color temperature of lights (Kelvin K rating). These do NOT look to me like the advertised "6000K Bright White". They appear to be more around 3,500 to 4,000K. This might be due to the Ryobi plastic lens, I did not test for color without lens. Personally, I much prefer the lower color temp, so I am pleased they do not appear as 6,000K. Attached 4 pics: Older lights these installed in, tree at about 100 feet, fence at about 300 feet, new style Ryobi with it's integrated LED at fence 300 feet. When 1st installed, beam was wider, but darker spot in center. The pics are after a 'trick' - I placed a regular galvanized steel washer between bulb & reflector cone. This sets LED further back into reflector. Results in a bit narrower beam, but eliminates darker spot in middle. Essentially allowing reflector to do it's job (keep in mind reflector was designed for a bulb with omnidirectional charateristic, not single LED chip). Can install 2 washers if narrower beam is desired -personal preference. 1 washer works for my intended purpose. Note last pic of new style Ryobi light, it Does have true 6,000K appearance - if you desire this, buy the new model light, or try other replacement LEDs. Overall, these are an improvement over original incandescent, paticularly for longer battery life & lower opperating temerature at minimal cost. Hope this info is helpful.

Bought 2 pack, one went out on second use.
Bought for my two Ryobi flashlights to replace incandescent bulbs. Gives about the same amount of light, a bright white or daylight color compared to soft white color of incandescent. I have only had them for about a couple of weeks, one works fine (although limited use so far) and the other worked when I installed it, but went out on the second time I used it. The question I have is how long will second bulb last.
