I too thought this thing was worthless as I have tried 2 other heat rods before, BUT THAT WAS UNTIL I FOUND OUT THE TRICK. This heat rod warms ITSELF up fairly well, but the material around it cannot sustain that heat very long because its most likely TPE plastic you're using it on, but LUBE DOES. Put in the lube first, THEN use the warmer, the heat will transfer to the lube which will hold inside, and then evenly transfer to the material. The problem is with no lube most of the surface area is just touching air which is a terrible heat conductor. So you use liquids to make up for that.

I was hesitant to buy this because the only review said it didn’t work but I bought it anyway because it was the best price and looked like a decent product to me. I had Zero issues and it works exactly as it should! Decent price for a good product!

The rod heats up very well! So much so that it melted and reformed itself. This obviously does not bode well for the products durability long-term. I’ve had it for under a week. Avoid.
