A beautiful and powerful book about the importance of trees and looking after our world
A beautifully executed story about the importance of trees and forests in our world’s eco-system.The pop up style is engaging and thought provoking but also has a lovely message that younger children could begin to understand. We love searching for the sloth on each page and exploring all the other special details in the illustrations.

Brilliant
Bought for my Year 4 class as a way into deforestation and management of a habitat. They LOVED it and were amassed by every page, trying to guess what was going to happen constantly. They were suitably appalled by the disappearance of the sloth!Luckily they took very good care of it as it is fragile - although actually, the cardboard used is surprisingly sturdy and thick for such intricate designs and probably could have handled a bit more rough and tumble than they gave it.Best price that I found, very quick delivery, would definitely recommend.

Thought provoking
This would please the budding eco-warrior. the clever paper engineering shows the destruction of a forest, with a sloth living in one of the trees, until a page is reaches with nothing, the sloth is gone. Then, pull a tab, a field of green shoots and the sloth returns! The simple drawn style has a lot of detail in its elegant pages.

Clever format illustrating ecological concerns
A seqel to the same team's 'Popsville' which uses a simple but ingenious format to illustrate the way rain forests are being plundered. It optimistically concludes with the re-planting of trees which I doubt whether many of the loggers undertake.
