I bought this outdoor mat to replace the one I have had for quite some time. The reason I chose this one is that I can easily hose it down if it gets dirty and it is also easy to sweep away leaves that gather under it. My previous one had course sisal in the middle of it and over time deteriorated from constantly getting wet. This one is more practical. It looks nice and tidy too. If it should get too dirty I can always clean it with a little dishwashing liquid.It resembles wrought iron but is firm hard-wearing black rubber. Low maintenance and nice to look at.

Really attractive, I am delighted with this. Wanted it for outside the front door of my cottage and it looks fab! A good size (quite big) and very thick rubber which does indeed look like cast iron. I have a cast iron mat outside my back door but wanted a rubber one for outside the front door and this fit the bill perfectly. Also a lot cheaper! the cast iron one costing me around 35 pounds. Therefore I give this a 100% thumbs up for being excellent value for money, nice thick rubber construction, weighty and looking great!RECOMMENDED!

I used this mat outside our back door,i thought with been heavy rubber it would stay in one place,but when my dogs - border collies,are constantly running in and out the door,the mat moves about. This is why i did not give it 5 stars,it does not get all the mud of your shoes either,so i think this will be going at the front door instead.It is hardwearing,the rubber is quite thick and it is a lovely design.UPDATE....After a several months at the front door, this mat has lasted.... 1. it has not fallen apart or split...therefore quality is excellent.2. It does move slightly but not as much as it did with the dogs running about

This is a great and sturdy doormat, which I'm sure will last for many years.I've gone through many doormats, which just seem to wear thin, or look bedraggled very quickly, but I've had this a few weeks now and it's still as good as new. It's also fairly heavy, which is what I needed, as where it's placed, outside our back door, gets all the windy and wet weather, plus it's the door we use all the time, so the mat is in constant use. It still looks like new, and I'm delighted with it.
