Ozeri Touch Professional Digital Kitchen Scale (12 lbs Edition), Tempered Glass in Elegant Black

Firstly, the sclae looks great, it is sleek and shiny with a black glass top and a blue on black LCD display. It is only about 1cm thick and resembles a tablet pc! Not only does it look great but it works very well.This scale has a relatively large platform compared to some (as it is rectangular rather than square) and this means the display is clearly visible even when using larger bowls. The seamless one piece glass top means the electronic and mechanical innards are not affected by liquid or flour ingress (as had happened on the scale this one replaces). The buttons are just touch sensitive parts of the glass, so no gaps or moving parts.Operation is simple, a gentle press on the power button turns the scale on, units selected with the left hand button. To zero the display simply press power/tare again. A 2 second hold on the power button turns the scale off. The scale automatically turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity (a reasonable time to get more items from the cupboard, and longer than some that can be frustrating when the weight is lost as they switch off after 30 seconds).The scale weighs up to 5kg which is fine for domestic kitchen use (if you need to weigh more than that perhaps you should use the bathroom scales), though I believe Ozeri also sell a 7.7kg model. It weighs in 1mg increments (or 0.05oz). It takes a second or two for the scale to stabilise, sometimes shifting up or down a gram; this is explained in the instructions.The scale uses two CR2032 lithium batteries. Some people complain about this type of cell, but they are widely available. Don't pay £2 per cell that your supemarket charges, shop online and you can get five or more for that price. I don't know how long the cells will last in this particular scale, but with others I am used to 3 or 4 months use, which is reasonable. The small batteries obviously allow the scale to be designed with such a low profile.Build quality looks and feels excellent. The scale comes attractively boxed, and comes complete with a clear instruction booklet and another book with energy (calorie) values for a vast range of foods, which will be helpful if or when I need to take some control of my diet!Overall, I am extremely impressed with this product, and at the price I think it is unbeatable.

My wife loves this scale, easy to use with clean modern style. As there are no buttons (other than the touch sensitive variety) it is easy to just wipe clean without flour or other items getting stuck around the buttons.Digital read out is clear to read and appears accurate.

Great Set of Scales that look good and most importantly, are accurate.Out of the box, these scales are slim, light and really look good. The black glass gives it a high quality and the display is actually backlit with a blue light which looks nice and is easy to read. Its also easy to read from various angles which helps a lot when you have a big bowl on the scales. The controls are very simple and the same as pretty much all other electronic scales.I tested the scales with various weights from a science lab and every time it was either spot on or just 1 g out. This is more than acceptable for kitchen scales. The tare functions is pretty standard although the scale can deal with negative numbers which comes in handy now and again.Also in the box is an instruction manual and a large booklet listing the calorific contents of hundreds of foods. This might be useful to someone I guess but I like to track Macronutrients and besides all this information is freely available on the internet.Overall this is great set of scales and given the price I would 100% recommend.

I have been after a digital scale for a while now and finally got around to choosing the Ozeri Touch Digital Scale after sifting through many reviews. I love it. Nice clear display - that turns off after a couple of minutes so as not to waste the batteries, but still leaving you enough time to weigh out ingredients without having to restart the scale Easy to use the tare function to add further ingredients without doing the maths and all the measures I need , grams, lbs/oz, fl oz.and Ml. It will measure down to 1 gram and comes with a substantial booklet to let you work out calorie values if you are on a diet. My only caveat it that even if you don't need your glasses to read the large clear digital readout, you might still need to wear them to make sure you do not try to weight things out on your I-pad, as this scale look very much like it :-)What more can you ask works well and looks good .

It says it measures things as low as 1g, it doesn't.I got this item literally 5 minutes ago and was keen to try it. I put a box of matches on there (with 20 matches inside) and they registered at 6g. So I took the matches out and placed them one by one on the scales (because I nerdily wanted to see it register 1g). I slowly placed the matches one by one on the scales and the display didn't move. I put ALL the matches on there PLUS the box, and it finally registered 1g. Then after a while, 2g. What? 6g first, then 1g then 2g?I tried again.This time I used the TARE function. Put a bowl on there, reset the scales to zero and added the whole box of matches. This time 7g, then 5g after a while. OK, close to the original measurement but not exactly inspiring confidence. Then i tried the one by one method. Again, after a while, it registered 1g, then 2g.Simple conclusion? Either I have received faulty scales or these scales DO NOT measure with 1g accuracy. Not only that, they seem to have a 4-5g margin or error, based on my experiment.For the price I guess I shouldn't expect precision equipment. They are low priced indeed. But if something claims to measure to 1g accuracy, I kind of want it to measure to 1g accuracy.As always... Caveat Emptor.

Love the size and finish of these scales. Bought in 2014 we've had some initial issues such as when stored the display turns on by mistake very easily which drains batteries in no time. It's now 2021 and the scale has given up fully, changing batteries won't help. Back unscrews so possibly fixable but we have a toddler and time is precious so will sadly buy a different model this time.

It works quite fine and specially the tare function. However, the battery drains quite fast, in two months. And when I bought a new good quality battery, it indicated after three times usage that the battery is half full.The battery drains faster when I use/tare heavier weights.

Bàscula con acabados muy limpios y un buen diseño, los dígitos son muy visibles lo que hace forzar menos la vista con una retroiluminación adecuada para su perfecta visualización, la única pega que le pongo que cuando le das a tara en ese momento cuando se hace presión es como si pesaras, en ningún momento se hace una tara mal ni nada, lo he comprobado, sucede por ser táctil, por todo lo demás es una báscula que cumple con su función, suficiente para pesar alimentos.5 estrellas por su diseño elegante y funcionamiento

I ordered this over a month ago and can say I am very happy with it, I'm dieting and have to measure everything. It is very sleek looking, takes up little space, you can lean it against the wall like an iPad (it's the same size). It is very easy to use and measurements are precise. Great thing is being able to put food or liquids in a container and get the weight of just the food item, follow the instructions to use and everything works perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
