Works great
My boat has an unregulated power supply from the engine (81 Johnson 50hp). So I'm not only worried about over draining the battery but also over charging. Since my fish finder has digital voltage read out this gauge is really just a backup in case my fish finder were to fail. I chose it because all my other gauges are also the same style from sierra and I like the cosmetic look of these gauges and they work great also. Never had an issue with fogging or water intrusion. I would like it if this gauge had a wider sweep so I could read the exact voltage easier. That being said this gauge does have lines running horizontally on both sides indicating a trouble situation if the needle is on them, over voltage on right or under voltage on left. This is actually surprisingly hard to find in volt gauges especially lines for over voltage. Some do have a red line indicating low voltage. Yet with those gauges their is nothing saying that over 14.5 volts is bad. I like this feature because its easy for me to explain to some one else that is using my boat what to watch out for instead of them having to remember specific numbers.

Perfect match
This is a perfect match for all the new gauges . I've replaced all my old gauges with these, tachometer,water pressure,temperature,and fuel. They look absolutely fantastic. The first thing before installing is to replace the light bulbs. Replace them with Bright Star (also from Amazon) LED, in red. (Red doesn't effect night vision) It really complement the gauges in looks. Wonderful set of gauges.

Teleflex volt meter
Incredible. Purchased the volt meter for my boat when the other one quit working. The new one is identical to the older one. I ordered the item one afternoon about 4 p. m. and it arrived the next afternoon. The company is located in another state so it's not like it was local.
