The camera is built nice and seems sturdy, record button is on the face so you can't miss it when you need to capture something. I work armed security at a 24/7 posts, and use a group chat with the other guards sending pics of the hundreds of people that aren't allowed. Most cameras you have to take the picture using the small 2 inch screen, and most times people aren't identifiable through it, so I bought a wifi camera so it uses the better screen from my phone. Problem is, the app associated with this camera has a bug and I can't use it, it just crashes and force quits every time I try to open it.Updated review: After contacting Boblov about my issue, they got back to me and helped me with the problem. The app now works perfectly and I have full access to all the features.

I wrote a review for this bodycam back in October where I mentioned that was a packaging issue and one technical issue. So, I am updating the review since the issue was addressed with the seller. The seller was extremely cooperative, understanding and stood behind the product.As far as the product:- Very sturdy rubber protective case. I am not concerned about dropping it on the floor.- Night vision is very good.- GPS feature is great. When using the software map application, it pinpoints the location of where the video was recorded. Really nice feature.- The bodycam has a slight bit of weight. It may sag a bit if your shirt is thin. You really need a stronger/thicker shirt for the connector to clip on to.I was able to use this bodycam to record about three hours of video. I had to connect it to my belt, whereas it just did not fit securely to my shirt. The video quality was OK at its highest resolution setting. The audio (within the video) was lower than expected, but was OK as well.The menu system was not very intuitive, but with a little practice, you get used to it.Overall, the bodycam is ok and gets the job done.

The app on the iPhone is absolutely terrible, video preview is glitchy, copying video from camera to phone is terribly slow, if connecting via Wi-Fi is a concern then this is not the camera for you

I’ve been wanting a dashcam, but I didn’t want to have any wires and there doesn’t seem to be one on the market that is battery powered. I got this body camera to act as a battery powered dashcam and it works fairly well.The camera is easy to set up and comes with a pretty thorough manual. The way I have it set up, it will record for about 13 hours, according to the display. The videos are decent, just a little over exposed in bright daylight. The GPS function works well, but the GPS player you have to download is a bit slow. It takes just a minute or so for it to acquire the satellites.It is a bit awkward to turn on when used as a dashcam because the button is in the front. If you do choose to plug it in, there is a setting to allow the camera to turn on automatically when you start your car. However, this won’t work if your outlet is hot even when the car is off. It doesn’t have removable memory, so you have to connect the whole camera to your computer to transfer files. It does do loop recording, overwriting old videos when the memory is full. You can set night vision to manual or automatic.The reason for only 3 stars is because, although the camera has Wi-Fi, the app you have to use does not work. I have tried numerous times and the app will not connect to the camera, making the claim “WiFi Enabled” deceiving.
