Tis the Season for Revenge

I’ve read a five of Morgan’s books (and I’m not stopping any time soon) but I think this one is my favourite yet.I’ve read The Distraction so I knew about Abbie’s backstory. Her history with her mother. Her bond with Hannah. And so that helped me understand some of what Abbie was going through.When Abbie’s boyfriend brakes up with her because she’s ’too immature’ she decides to get revenge on him by dating his boss, Damien Martinez.A man that brings out the best in Abbie. He helps her grow from a pretty insecure woman into a strong confident woman. Who’s not afraid to be her sparkly pink self.Watching Abbie’s growth was incredible. Seeing her change and become someone she knows she can be proud of was wonderful.Seeing her and Damien fall in love, develop and grow their feelings for each other, watching as they learnt more about each other, become close and learn to trust each other.Seeing characters from The Springbrook Hills series was amazing. Nice to know how they’re all doing.Overall this book was a great Christmas-themed read. Full of romance and spice.Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️4/5 Stars

It’s not secret I picked this book up because it promised revenge and Legally Blonde vibes. It delivered all of that, but what I didn’t know was that it’s so much more. I fell in love with these characters, and now, I need the rest of the books!The revenge was delicious, and there’s 2 scenes war the end that absolutely made my day. The things they did to Richard were rather comical. He deserved every single one.This isn’t just a love story between two unexpected people. It’s about finding yourself after a terrible relationship. Abbie’s transformation with the help of Damien was beautiful.🌶️Spice Wise: the chapters that contained spice were 10, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 32. The scene could be long but they were interwoven into the plot so well. The scenes felt natural. It wasn’t as if the spice hit, and that’s how the characters thought about. There were sweet dates and amazing conversations. This was an amazingly perfect read❤️

Unexpectedly spicy, this is a fun story of love and revenge. I personally didn't like the doormat FMC, but her character showed some growth which was pleasing. Content warnings at front were welcomed. Unfortunately, this seems formatted for ebook rather than print- there are occasional hyperlinks and missing images that detracted from the whole product for me.
