Q: What is the best way to position the strips to keep a matrass from sliding down to the foot of the platform. Side to side or top to bottom?

Hi, I don't know if there is "correct way" but I did a horizontal strip top and bottom of the mattress and two vertical strips half way up the mattress. That seemed to work great for me on my adjustable bed.

Q: Is one roll enough for a queen sized bed?

we purchased one and used it for our king. just did a strip on the top, so if you wanted to do more than that, you'd need to purchase more than one.

Q: Can it be used on a foam mattress to stop slippage on an adjustable bed base and how to place strips?

this product was not a good product. two strips, no instructions.nothing but two strips of something. i retuned mine

Q: How do you apply this? Is the tape applied to both the mattress and the pad, or just to one of them?

Hi, you have to apply the tape to both the mattress and the topper. This is basically velcro and you know how that works. This is the only product I found and I tried several that actually worked great. I have an adjustable bed and when you put it up the topper always slipped down as expected it would. But, applying this stopped that cold. Good luck.
