Accurate, Easy to Clean, Simple to Use
The Ozeri is a great kitchen scale that makes and measuring ingredients and food portions easy. The Ozeri is a very stylish scale. The top of the scale is made of one solid piece of black glass. The touch sensitive buttons and display are below the glass so cleaning the scale is a breeze as you can just run a damp cloth over it. The bottom of the scale is constructed of high quality plastic and has 4 small rubberized feet. The scale is very sleek, and more than once I noticed it out of the corner of my eye and thought I might have bought an iPad and I didn't remember! The Ozeri is very nicely made and feels very sturdy and high quality in the hand.Using the Ozeri is easy. To turn it on you tap the "power/tare" button. The large, easy-to-read display then comes to life. The power button also serves as a tare function for zeroing out the scale. The only other button on the scale is the "unit" button that lets you switch between grams, fluid ounces, pounds/ounces, and milliliters. To turn the scale off you simply press and hold the "power/tare" button for a couple of seconds. Conversely, it will automatically turn itself off if you don't use it for a few minutes. The scale is very consistent and seems accurate. While I don't have any marked weights to check the accuracy, all the recipes I've completed since getting the scale have come out perfectly and uniform. The Ozeri comes in handy to measure a few grams or a few pounds, and it's very sensitive to small additions or subtractions of ingredients. Not only is it great for baking, but also it is also a boon for keeping track of your calories since you can weigh your food accurately. The scale is large enough so that even dinner plates and large bowls don't block the display. All in all...a great scale at a great price.

Wonderful kitchen scale
I purchased this scale after acquiring Type 1 diabetes. I am not very good at estimating the weight or amount of something that I am using and needed something to be more exact so I could calculate the amount of insulin to give myself. This scale has been great. It's easy to use (3 buttons), it's flat and stores anywhere (no clutter), and it has all the functionality I need. There is and on/off button, a button to change units (grams, ounces, lb/ounces, and ml), and a tare button. The scale quickly tares and is very precise. The only complaint I have is that the buttons are a little too sensitive - the scale turns on when I am getting it out of the cabinet. So sometimes, when I place it on the counter, the scale displays "UNST" for unstable, but the scale quickly clears without any time lost or inconvenience. The manufacturer did a really good job figuring out time delays on the scale. I use it quite often to measure a salad as I assemble it, so there may be washing and cutting steps between additions. I can put a bowl on the scale, tare it, add lettuce, tare, peel a carrot, cut the carrot into the salad and the scale remains on, but the time delay for the scale to shut off is not too long so that it stays on and wastes battery beyond a "normal" amount of time for kitchen activities - quite impressive (at least to me) that they could get this "right".Since purchasing this scale, I found that it also useful for baking. I made the best pie crust I have ever made by weighing the ingredients using the scale instead of using volume measurements. The scale is a little small for use with wide-rimmed bowls, but I have found that offsetting the bowl towards the back of the scale has no effect on precision or measurement and allows the user to see the display without any issues.I have an Ozeri bathroom scale that I purchased last year that I am happy with, so this influenced me to try this kitchen scale. Overall, I am very satisfied with the value provided by Ozeri (combination of price, product), and I would definitely recommend this product to friends.

Didn't expect it to be this good! Thanks, again, Amazon!
When I first thought about getting a digital kitchen scale, I researched them online, looking at features and price, and eventually decided to purchase from Amazon. I buy a lot through Amazon, and always get fast delivery and a fair price, but I check around, too. In any event, I narrowed the field down to three or four, and did some further research, eventually deciding to take a chance on this one form Ozeri, as it seemed to have the features I wanted. I also ordered 50 gm. and 100 gm. weights from Amazon, as a check on initial accuracy of the scale, and to calibrate it, going forward. When the scale arrived, I unpacked it, and was pleased with what I saw. For all the world, it looks a little like an iPad, with an attractive, black glass surface, and metal back. It ends there, though, as the scale four "feet", which are its weight sensors. Place the scale on a flat surface, touch it to turn it on, and it is exactly as it was advertised to be. It was perfectly calibrated, at both 50 and 100 gm. weights, and functions exactly as prescribed. I particularly like the "Tare" feature, which allows one to weigh a loaded vessel, and then the empty vessel, with the scale showing the net, or "tare", weight. One may do it in reverse, also, weighing first the empty vessel, then the loaded one, with the scale calculating the net weight of the material being weighed. Equally handy is the quick-to-change system of measurements, in U.S. and metric scale, in ounces and grams, pounds and kilograms, from 0.1 oz., to 11 pounds. One caution to the user: the scale is very touch-sensative, so be careful, in putting it away, that you don't activate it. However, if you should happen to, it will turn itself off after one minute of non-use.I would buy this scale again, and would not hesitate to recommend it. Accurate, attractive, easy to use. No negatives, as far as I can tell.

Highly accurate but it drains the battery
It works quite fine and specially the tare function. However, the battery drains quite fast, in two months. And when I bought a new good quality battery, it indicated after three times usage that the battery is half full. The battery drains faster when I use/tare heavier weights.

Recomendable 100%
Super exacto, te calcula muy bien la cantidad que se le echa a los cuenquitos sin contar con el cuenco. Yo estoy muy contenta
