Little Wigwam United Kingdom UK Map Placemat Multicolour

I am a big fan of learning by exposure and I remember reading everything there was around me when I was bored at the kitchen table. I was looking for a placemat that would spark interest and curiosity and this is it. We have several placemats: with the world map, Europe, UK, flags and capitals, space and times tables. They spark countless conversations, mini games and activities and even grown ups get studying and commenting on how awesome these are.

I really liked these educative placemats and bought four different ones from this seller thinking they will last years and eventually our newborn son will benefit from them in a few years time as well. I have only been using them for six months and they look like in the photos - scratched, faded colours, the text is now difficult to read and they just don't look nice any longer. I clean them normally as any other placemat or table - with a damp dish sponge with the soft side or I put them under running water and wipe with my hand so there is no way they got scratched by improper use. What's more, they bend when I put a plate with hot food on it or a mug with hot drink. These placemats are simply not fit for purpose, they would probably be ok to use on a wall as art but definitely not as placemats. I'm going to return them all as a faulty product.

Bought this for our grandchildren.Excellent value.Great and fun way to teach them a bit of geography.

We primarily bought this for our children that are very messy eaters. In that sense its very helpful. It also helps them to get a better sense of the UK geography.When our sat nav broke down we also tried to use the placemat as an alternative. However the detail is limited and it blocks the view through the windscreen. So we got nowhere.

Great mat. I've read reviews that the colours fade but we have 4 of these, 2 of which are over a year old and they have faded very slightly but are still in good readable condition with daily use. They area always a talking point on playdates.

Brilliant item. The kids love them ... and the adults even more so! Educational, practical and fun. I test my daughter on countries round the world. Makes a good discussion point at tea time! Would highly recommend. They clean easily!

a placemat for learning the geography; resistent and easy to wash

Initially, I though this was amazing and my son loved it. However, when you clean it, it fades! I have recently replaced it with another brand and had no problems.
