Not too small at all !
I was little hesitant because it seemed too small, but it’s perfect for us! Happy hotpot for 2 people !!

The temperature control
The idea is brilliant and the item is well made and exactly the right size for one or two people. What lets it down is the heating controls. Even on the lowest setting, the pot is cooking fiercely. It needs those sorting out or perhaps some sort of rheostat where you wind up to get maximum heat and down towards"Off" to get lower heats. This is not a pot that you want to walk away from for any length of time.The concept is beautiful, it is just that it needs the heating controls sorting out.
