Received a 'Wenger Chasma' backpack as a gift from a friend who no longer wanted it. Despite having loops for a chest strap, It did not come with one and they arent available from Wenger as replacement straps or optional accessories.Had many googles and decided to try this one given the many reviews and it works absolutely fine. Although it does require some trimming. The buckle itself its made from a strong plastic that is found on many backpacks, but i cross my fingers in the hopes it wont get brittle and crack over time as cheap Chinese plastic normally does this in my experience.On the 5th picture where you can see No.3 - I have passed some excess strap back through the outside of the slider towards my arms before trimming with a pair of sharp scissors and melting/sealing the freshly cut ends with a zippo - you can use a regular lighter if dont have one. it will still do the same job...The lighter melts the ends of the strap and stops it from fraying. You want enough heat to melt the ends, not set it alight so dont hold it on the flame for too long. Running the ends across the flame a few times is the way to do it then blow on it to cool it down and it should be sealed and hard as nails.The reason why i double the strap back towards my arms is so i have excess just in case as well the whole fitting being doubly secure.

The straps work but are too fiddly for me. In the end I threw them away.

Makes my backpack much more adaptable

These came quickly. They attached to my ruck sack easily. The only annoying bit for me was that the straps that attaches it is too long

I have a backpack I use frequently for travel but it was frustrating because the straps would slip off my shoulders no matter what I did. I looked for a new pack just to get a chest strap. Then my wife suggested I might be able to get just the chest strap. And she was right (of course)! I bought and fitted this strap to my existing pack and it has transformed it. No more slipping straps! So easy to fit and it’s given my old pack a new lease on life. Brilliant!

I purchased these straps for a new work back pack, which did not have a chest strap built in as my old one did. They arrived as expected, first glance these were quality straps though did find it a little fiddly to wrap securely around my new back pack shoulder straps. As my new bag shoulder straps were wide, tightening them too much will squash the bag straps making for an awkward fit. Not tightening them enough will lead to them being too loose and sliding down your shoulder straps once released. They do come with an instructional diagram if needed, though reasonably easy to assemble. I keep them wrapped around my bag shoulder straps daily, and only use them based on how heavy a load I'm carrying. One strap has Wisdompro branding on it. Great price, does the job though tricky to keep in position as very little friction between chest strap material and bag shoulder strap material. Tightening the strap can easily overcome this.
