Table scraps to compost
We have had this composter for a couple of months now and have been both surprized at how well it works and pleased to have very good compost to use on our starter plants in the coming months. Looking forward to a good crop this year.

Inconsistent Quality
I want to give this composter 5 starts. I love the concept - and when it works, it works great. I have two major issues with the unit. First - the instruction booklet needs to be re-written. It's not easy to follow - particularly when you are trying to troubleshoot problems (missing descriptions, no measurement units, not explanation of potential issues and fixes). Second - the quality/warranty issues are a problem. After 2 weeks of use (in accordance with the instructions and maintenance), the unit made some really loud noises, then stopped working. I've reached out to the manufacturer who said they would be shipping replacement parts. Contacted them after another 2 weeks and no parts. Then the company ghosted me - a month and several emails with no replies. Sent in the unit for a replacement under the warranty claim (and spent $40 on shipping!). After five months, still no replacement unit. Reported the company to the BBB.If you don't get a lemon of a machine - good for you. But if you get that lemon - you are out of luck and $290. Are you feeling lucky? If not, I suggest going with a more reliable composter.

I love it!
Love this. But I have found it doesn’t like the banana stalk part, or stems from greens, or broccoli stalks unless you chop them up. So if I feel like it, I chop them in 1/2-1” pieces or I discard them, if I don’t feel like it. After it dehydrates, it grinds. Those things, if left whole, catch in the grinding process and stop the machine. But I love the end product which I put in my compost and the worms eat it. It has a good smell after processing.

grinding problems
Matter gets stuck under grinder blades and stops the grinding process.Trouble handling fibrous matters such as fibrous vegetables, peals, fiber does not allow blades to continue with grinding process.I am totally dissatisfied with this product. I wish I could return it. Does a very poor job.

Over all satisfied. Getting used to it.
Overall I endorse this product. I have had it two months. First, I ran it several times before I found all of the hidden pieces of tape around the filter and condensation cup. Removing those solved all of the moisture problems. Second, do not overload it with hard objects, or food with long stringy fibers. The grinder cannot handle it. Pineapple skins, too many artichoke leaves, etc.Keep an awl or coat hanger around to clean out the stuck stuff. If all the lights are blinking it means it has overloaded the grinding motor. Try using less per load. I put mine in the garage because there is some odor when running. I wish someone made a food waste grinder you could use to easily chop food up before putting it in here, or had a composter with a better grinder set up.

Bought on Jan 8th, stopped working February 20th
All lights flash, and device does not function. We read the instructions carefully, and attempted to clean the machine according to the cleaning instructions, after product support people told us to clean it (wasn't very dirty). Still malfunctions. Cannot return it through amazon. This is an update to an earlier post. Ok it is one year later and the main composting prong broke off from the shaft. I tried fixing it myself with JB Weld, didn't work. Its beyond the warranty period. Complete piece of junk. Engineered to fail after the warranty period.

I bought two - one for son & one for myself. My son’s had problems & Pursonic replaced w/o questions. Mine continues to work beautifully!
