Deep red coloured, with a texture like a soft hair wax and smell like a very strong chilli paste. The tub was smaller than I expected, but this is a good because it gives an indication of how potent it is - only a small amount is needed. It's very strong and has little effect at first, but don't let that fool you. Depending on skin type and area it's used, it begins warming after 15 mins then peaks after 60 mins with a very intense heat that lasted a few hours. I recommend testing on a small area first and using a glove if possible. Several hours later, the heat was still noticeable, but become less intense. My only feedback would be that info on the packaging could be a bit stronger-worded, about avoiding contact with sensitive areas and eyes (and what to do if contact occurs - getting this stuff in the wrong place could be a very stressful experience). Otherwise, very satisfied with the product, it produced a proper hot toasty effect, much more effective than typical off the shelf products.

It takes some time for you to feel the heat.Very small tub, but not much is needed. First time felt no heat at all. RA and OA so wanted some heat relief. It did heat up on 2nd try. Be careful and use Gloves to apply, you don't want it on your hands then in your eyes!!

Been searching for a substitute for capsaicin cream for neuralgia and fibro, after the cream was delisted. Gave this a shot and finally; no warmth, just heat. Whilst not quite at the numbing level of the prescription stuff, this is more than enough to get me by. Oh, word of advice...wash your hands INCREDIBLY WELL after. My lips are still burning from the tiniest of drops.

It said on the content "This product can feel Hot. Wash your hands thoroughly after use." So anyway, I took some out and started rubbing some on my husband's back in a circular motion as stated on the product.... husband started to feel a pins and needles affect, so we thought it was starting to work. I went to wash my hands thoroughly and thought all was well. about 10 / 15 minutes later my husband's back was starting to get hot and so was my hand.....then about 1/2 an hour later the heat got to extreme level of hotness, when I mean extreme, I mean the feeling of putting your hand on a scolding hot iron / pan and not being able to take it off!!! I had to take a frozen bottle of milk from the freezer to sooth the pain for my husband's back and I had to use a cold can of coke to hold. Now this was during the night so we did not get any sleep what so ever. I felt relief when i had something so cold on my hand and I started to fall asleep, as soon as the coldness from the can went, my hand was feeling the intense burning like fire again. We were both literally in agony the whole night. The pain lasted over 6 hours!!! There should be a warning on this product about how intense this heat is and how much to put on!!! If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be burned all over with fire/ scolding water etc for about 6+ hours......then I highly recommend this!!!! This has to be the WORST muscle rub ever!!! My right hand has turned so rough now and can feel a pins and needles feeling from time to time! On the product "Wash hands thoroughly...." That did sod all!!!! Did anyone actually test this product before selling it????Try it for yourself!!! I've got a great place to put this.....straight in the bin!!!

Pretty good stuff.The other reviews are true. This does get hot. It's not like deep heat because this is the bodies reaction to chili. If you expect the skin to physically warm, this won't happen.It's causing blood to go to the area by reacting to the chili. Helping my ligament reconstructions heal.It took about 3 - 4 hours to fully kick in so it's tempting to use a lot, and by that time too much had been applied. When it finally penetrates the deeper skin levels you will want to wash it off because it's very unpleasant. So use only a tiny bit. It also gets everywhere you don't want it to. So avoid nut scratching.

This is so goodYou only need a little, I use have the Caspcain cream on perception from doctors but not been in stock since September 2023 so been trying loads of different stuff.This is the best 👌 remember only a little at a time half a pea shape

I think this product should come with more of a warning.I have no doubt that it does work. However, I did not expect to have such a reaction to it. I had expected a warm sensation from it.After experiencing back pain, I had applied the rub to my lower back. I had noted a warning that stated to apply sparingly which I had in my view done.Approximatly 2 hours after applying it, I was woken by an intense burning sensation in my back. This did not reduce despite washing it off and for the rest of the night I laid in bed with a wet towel on my back to try and soothe the burning. My husband looked at the area in the morning and he said it looked like I had been scalded withhot water.The pain lasted most of the day, I felt that I had applied a small amount to my back and the after symptoms were so intense I would say they were worse than the initial problem.I binned this product as it seemed to be a strong strength and I was worried about the children getting hold of it.
