Blissfully blue
I've read critical praise about this ink - it's been lauded as the *perfect* ink, used to test fountain pen performance. If the pen can't write well with Waterman Serenity Blue, then finding an ink that will work well is likely to be a tall order. This ink really does hit the spot. Distinctively blue, dark enough to be classic, amenable to fast writing but doesn't smear. A pleasure to work with.

Good, safe ink; a nice blue
This was my second order of Waterman Serenity Blue ink. The ink is well behaved in any pen and doesn't stain pens. It is a serene medium to dark blue with some shading depending on the pen and nib, suitable for most any use. It has a slight periwinkle tint, but that isn't usually apparent. On non-absorbent paper (such as some greeting cards) it can also have a red sheen, but again that is not usually apparent on regular paper. The glass bottle is very attractive and traditional but not fancy. It is well designed to facilitate getting the last amount of ink from the bottle by sitting the bottle on one of its side angles. For an ink that is not marked as being permanent, it has good water resistance when dry. I've not tested it to see if it's truly permanent. The bottle is marked "France," which is nice.My first order, several years ago, had no problems. My recent order, however, was not satisfactory because it appears this is not a new package of ink. The box is not in good condition, with worn corners and bulges and the top taped shut with a big piece of white tape or label. This was to be part of a gift (with a pen) and will totally not work for that because the box looks awful. Also, the bottle is not as full as expected, but that alone would not be a problem. It's not worth shipping back, but I contacted amazon and they said they would send me a new bottle. I can't ask for more than that, other than it would have been nice if I could have completed the gift today instead of next week. If there is any further problem, I'll edit this review. I do appreciate their response. EDIT: I received the new bottle of ink just as promised. The second box looked a little better but had minor damage. I gave up and gave the ink without the box.None of this has anything to do with the quality of the actual ink or Waterman, so I did not deduct a star. I also did not deduct any stars for packaging, as there is nothing inherently wrong with Waterman's bottle and box when it is new and undamaged. Hopefully this was just a warehouse fluke and will be resolved as promised.

Excellent ink
I purchased the Waterman ink in the shade of Mysterious Blue, and I must commend it for its quality. The color is richly pigmented, providing a vibrant and visually appealing appearance to my writing. I have observed that it performs exceptionally well on paper, with no noticeable bleeding, which contributes to a clean and professional finish. Additionally, the ink flows smoothly from my pen, enhancing the overall writing experience and making it quite enjoyable.

Sticker was offset š
I love this brand of inkā I got one in black, and the bottle is just so beautiful, it makes it feel like a premium ink. However, in my most recent purchase of a blue in, the sticker was offset significantly (even a corner of it hangs off the edge of the bottle) which destroys this look/feel of an elegant premium product, and makes it feel like a cheap toy. So, while the ink is fine, the mistake on the bottle really does make it less enjoyable to use

Beautiful Purple leaning just a small shade blue.
I was looking for a really nice vibrant purple like I see in rollerball inks. Most others came off too pink. This is a true purple that leans more blue and is a very good analog to Uninballās Violet gel ink, but slightly more blue. It also has an interesting shading characteristic. It flows well and is a wet ink, requiring some care on coated paper because I am a lefty but I donāt mind since Iām already accustomed to being careful not to smear ink. Water resistance is low, but I think it would still be recoverable if a page got drenched.I like to use this ink for journaling.

What a Difference an Ink Makes
What a difference an ink makes. Waterman Intense Black is a great ink. Itās not as black black as I expected an ink with a name like Intense Black to be, but its interpretation of black is pretty great. I then began to see why some pen enthusiasts are also ink enthusiasts and have multiple shades of black from multiple manufacturers along with multiple other colors swatched in fancy notebooks with fancy paper I never heard of before. Count me in. I write a lot. Mainly, until recently in the notes app on my phone but pen and paper and ink while analog deepen the connection I have with the words I write. Iāve written with 2 different pens with this ink. A W&B extra fine nibbed pen and a Pilot MR Animal White Tiger with a medium nib. The pens write differently. Though youād need a micrometer to measure the differences. Even though the ink is the same the pens left different lines and swoops. I liked the ink out of the W&B pen a hairline better. The ink arrived well packaged, on time and ready to be dispensed. The bottle looks great where I write. The bottle designed to be tipped on its side to be able to draw as much ink as possible shows me Waterman cared about its end users experience without gouging them, which makes me like them even more. Iām a fan Waterman.
