A Necessity for Classical Guitar Beginners
I have been learning the classical guitar for about six months and started first with a foot rest. The foot rest for me just was a lot of work to find that sweet spot each practice, where comfort and the playing angle of the guitar neck were set. This cushion rest is quality made and very comfortable to position on the leg with the strap. I think this maybe all that some players would need for comfort and positioning the guitar neck. If you look at the picture, you will see that I have a Flanger FA-80 guitar rest on my guitar (has a locking suction cup) and I’m finding this is also a great product (under $15 delivered). I find both rests deliver, with the Flanger FA-80 providing a more consistent positioning of the guitar neck.

Nicely made but needs a real strap
Well made leather like covering over foam with a zipper to remove so that you can clean. I think you can clean it without removing the cover and is the foam replaceable?? What looks like a strap is merely a strip of what seems to be felt. I would have preferred a real strap so it wouldn’t slide easily.

Comfortable, choice of two heights, non-adjustable strap only reason for 4-star vs 5-star
Pros:-Choice of Two Different Heights: turn it around the other direction on thigh.- Very nice cover with a hanger and a cord/plastic 'pull-tight' closing- Leatherette cover on top & sides; cottony material & 1" leatherette strap on bottom.- Cover reads "Flatsons FA-60S" (don't know if "S" means small or not) and website.Cons: The Non-Adjustable Strap...- Strap underneath Not Adjustable; reason for drop to 4-star.- Slender, 125-pound female family member can fasten/use strap, doesn't 'hurt' ,but would like adjustable, would only use strap with pants/jeans for short periods.

Good Product
I bought this guitar cushion with the hope that it would help with some hip pain I was having while playing guitar. It worked - no more hip pain! Try it. It may work for you.

Suerte

A good Dynarette alternative
Pretty much a clone of the Dynarette. The large size is significantly larger than the small//medium sized Dynarette. While it does not fit 8perfectly, it does the job and is a good quality product.

Just won't stay in place -- the rest and the guitar
I play classical guitar and I bought this leg rest to replace a footstool. Footstools give me backaches and are just a pain to deal with in general. I liked that it has non-skid material on the underside and a slope to the top, and just looking at it, I thought it should work great. But alas . . .The rest, despite having non-skid material on the underside -- doesn't stay in place. The type of material of my pants doesn't seem to matter. Even against bare skin, it still slides around. So, so much for non-skid. I found that if I sort of crammed the rest against my torso, this would minimize movement some, but it would eventually start moving again. Now, as for the sloped shape, positioned the rest so that it sloped down toward me, which should have tilted the guitar's face up toward me, which I what I wanted. But I kept finding that, in order to place my guitar at an angle where I could see the fingerboard, I was having to place it at a sharper angle than the rest provided. So I was placing the corner of my guitar's side on the rest instead of laying the flat of the side onto it.It ended up being very awkward, all told, and after about 15 minutes of struggle, I just gave up. Anybody wanna buy an almost unused Flange-whatchemacallit guitar rest? I'll make you a good deal.

Best support I've found so far
I've always used a footstool, but even at its highest height I couldn't seem to get the guitar angle right in relation to my "guitar supporting" leg. Then I recently saw a concert where the guitarist used both a footstool AND a guitar support (the type with the suction cups), and it had never occurred to me to try that. The only problem for me with suction cup-type supports is that I didn't want to continually put it on and take it off (I keep my guitar in its case when not in use), so I thought the guitar cushion might be the best solution. Once I lowered the footstool height and tried the cushion, it just seemed like everything lined up perfectly. I know there are complaints about cushion supports, but mine stays in place, it's lightweight and I can adjust the height of the footstool rather than using an adjustable suction cup-type support. Totally satisfied with the product.

Empfehlenswert

short strap
The guitar cushion design is perfect. The elasticated strap which goes around the leg thigh is too short and needs to be extended. The short strap spoils a perfect piece of equipment.RegardsBob
