Excellent G-Shock watch.
Very happy with this purchase. Not too big or heavy to wear yet robust enough to know it will sustain everything I throw at it. Wear it for work and know it will be knocked and bumped at some point. I have had G-Shock watches before and know they are solid and have high expectations of this one (last one went some 20 years!).I like the fact it is solar powered and radio controlled. No more worries about accuracy or battery life, and all seems to working as it should be so far.I think this a good looking watch and has all the features that I need; time, world time, stop watch, countdown timer, day/date and analog display. Small digi displays can be difficult too read from certain angles but the light is a bright blue/white and lights up the display very well. The hourly signal is a bit insipid (probably the only criticism of the watch).Easy to set up and use. I recommend taking 5 minutes to read the relevant sections of the instruction book. Will be worth it in the long run. This was delivered early by Amazon, free of charge and arrived on a Sunday. Ordered Friday with an expected delivery day the following Wednesday/Thursday so well done Amazon. It was well packaged and no damage. My only gripe was that I was out when it was delivered, and the guy just left it on the step. Very lucky it wasn’t taken. Next time I order anything I will probably specify a place to leave if I’m out.

Perfect for me!
I decided that I wanted a solar battery and radio updates and this watch fits the bill. The face is clear and easy to read and, despite other reviews to the contrary, I also found the smaller lcd indicators clear enough for their function (it depends upon your expectations).I have set the ‘signal’ ON (hourly chime) which is discrete enough but very useful. It is possible to set 5 different alarms - the alarm tone is the same as the ‘signal’ function, so not an alarm to wake you up, but works great as a ‘reminder’ alarm. The radio updates have been consistent at around 2am each day (whilst asleep, with the watch both on or off my wrist. The watch battery came with the charge level at ‘m’ (medium) so I placed it in front of a small led lamp that we have one evening (whilst I watched tv) and after a few hours it was indicating ‘h’ (high). Daily use results in it falling back to ‘m’ but soon recovering up to ‘h’ without intervention - of course I always have our trusty led lamp should I feel concerned! The auto light on function works well ... too well if you sleep with the watch on your wrist (c; The face illuminated well, but only for a (max) of 3 seconds (changeable). The luminous hands also work well - I wear glasses but it is bright enough for about an hour for me to read without my specs.I only have one negative for the watch (and it is being extremely picky!!) is that dust seems to collect on the face (I’m guessing it’s because the ‘bowl’ like design), easily wiped away. All in all a terrific watch for every day use. It is quite large, but I have quite large wrists so it is perfect for me. The strap fits around my (large) wrist with 4 holes to spare (7th hole from the watch). All in all ... I love it!

Great replacement for the GA150
I bought this to replace my 12 year old G-Shock GA150 which I managed to ruin myself by changing the battery and not being able to put the watch back together in a working order again. It is almost like for like change which I really like as I am a creature of habit. It feels sturdy and weighty (albeit slightly less weighty than my old GA150) and I have now adjusted to its weight. One thing I actually do not like are the minutes and hour hands - they have the phosphorescence green tint to them which kind of stand out and in not in the most aesthetically pleasing way. I thought the night light is sufficient on its own to tell the time but anyway. Overall, happy with this and hoping that it will last just as long as the old one.

Great watch
I was looking for a watch that was solar powered and auto corrected the time. This watch does both. When it arrived the battery was on medium but by the following day the level was on high. Even having the hourly signal on and using the backlight several times hasn't depleted the battery level. On the watch itself there is indication in one of the dials if the signal has been received during the night to update the time. If this doesn't happen you can manually start this process at the touch of a button. At night time the lume and back light are good.Although the strap and casing are plastic the watch doesn't look or feel cheap.
