This type does not have a drop rod, so the only thing affecting balance is the fixing of the ceiling bracket. Once you get past that, you have to be sure the motor weight will be supported. Two screw fixings hold the ceiling bracket, so you need a solid ceiling/ loft support to attach to, and it is important to not rush this part. It is also important not to get electric wires wedged against the bracket, as vibration over time will cause trouble. The start capacitor is also well hidden in the reverse switch location. This is a good model from a very good manufacturer, and Westinghouse provide a very good customer service back up.

Westimghouse Ceiling Fan
Bought this for our new house and it works very well. It has 3 fan speeds which I like. I am a bit disappointed at the small blades on the fan though. Would have been better to have longer blades. Has Summer/Winter settings too. 2 separate pulls which clearly indicates the fan and the light with little disc symbols on the pulls. Aesthetically very nice to look at. Bit difficult to install and connect the wires, especially if you have big hands like my hubby, as not much moving space. Other than that, a nice product which keeps us and my longhaired Alaskan Malamute nice and cool at night.

May need to put snogging in or move position of light if beam is not in right place.
It’s an ok piece of kit. If you buy these in the USA, they come with lamps and a balancing kit. Why not in the UK?

Off balance our the box
The motor unit/lamp section was obviously off balance just on a visual inspection, but gave it the benefit of the doubt. On installing it would rattle around ridiculously. Very poor QC.

No es barato pero la marca Westinghouse da garantía de calidad y la tiene por todos lados. Cumple su función perfectamente y es fácil de montar. Muy satisfechos con la compra.

ben fatto e molto carino in ambienti rustici
Bisogna avere un po' di manualità per il montaggio ma con un pò di pazienza e seguendo le istruzioni è abbastanza facile; in due il montaggio è piu agevole. Avevo ordinato anche il telecomando della stessa ditta ma ho dovuto renderlo perchè questo modello di ventilatore non aveva gli spinotti idonei al collegamento; credo che sia comunque possibile usare anche altri telecomandi senza spinottti; al momento le due cordicelle sono più che sufficienti e non ne sento la necessità. Una cordicella attiva il ventilatore su tre velocità, la media è la più indicata perchè la più forte fa vibrare ("ballare") un pò troppo le tre luci collocate sotto; questo è forse l'unica cosa che non ho gradito. Alla velocità più bassa è molto silezioso e in camera si sente poco. Non aspettatevi aria condizionata, ma un buon movimento di aria. c'è anche un selettore per invertire il senso di rotazione durante l'inverno, per distribuire meglio l'aria calda che di solito sale al soffitto. Nel complesso più che soddisfatto.
