Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot Melamine in House Tea Set, Multi, 250 x 160 x 200 cm

Probably the best present we have bought my daughter (5 yrs old) to date. We bought this for Christmas 2015 and she has now been playing with it for nearly a year. It is a lovely set - really good quality, great design and all very easy for her to use. It packs brilliantly into the carry case and is taken from room to room and played with in all sorts of different ways. A year on she is still playing with it - it has withstood being used time and time again in the bath, in various in-house tea parties and out in the garden. It hasn't chipped or broken (despite our stone floors) and, because it's so easy to pack back into its carry case, we haven't lost any of it - which is very rare in our house!The carry case probably wouldn't be water resistant so that doesn't go out into the garden, but that aside I would heartily recommend this to anyone. We opted for the multi-coloured polka dot design but there is a heart design alternative. Our daughter likes to try and involve her brothers in her games, so we opted for the more unisex design, and they have played happily together with this set (or at least the boys have thoroughly enjoyed ordering things from her cafe and watching her run around serving them!) The cottage design on the carry case is quite "cutesy" but other than that, it is a very unisex product.In terms of cost vs. time spent playing with it, this is definitely the best value gift we've bought our daughter so far.

LOVE this tea set for my 4 year old. Bought after she asked for a tea set for her birthday! Great quality and a good size. Perfect for matching with mummy! I also bought the small tray which has the teapot etc on off Amazon and it’s the perfect addition to the set for carrying “cups of tea” to mummies and daddies.The set comes in a very sturdy box with carry handle and clasp.Extremely happy :D

Bought for my 16-month old son so he can enjoy making a cup of tea like he sees us doing throughout the day. This seemed less girly than some with pink unicorns or hearts, etc. on. and melamine is great because it looks/feels a lot more like real china than wood or plastic. It's basically the same as camping plates/cups.So far it's survived being dropped and smashed against each other, and it's also been through the dishwasher without any issue. It does say it's dishwasher safe, but not to put boiling water in (why would I do this if I'm giving it to a 1 year old?). As per another reviewer suggestion, I have left the sellotape on the teapot lid to stop it continually coming off, and we've all enjoyed much pretend tea (sometimes with a pretend biscuit).

My daughter was given the heart tea set for her 1st birthday and has played with it ever since, so I had to buy it for my niece’s first birthday. Again - she loved it!It was sent really quickly and packaged really well (I did have concerns with the gorgeous box being dented in transit, but it was in perfect condition).

A lovely set! My 3 year old boy loves it and its hours of play and fun. Passes the rough handling test by a toddler. Totally recommend it. He has his afternoon snack with a cup of milk !

Expensive but worth it in my opinion. I wanted a tea set that was a little more fancy than the plastic ones I had seen. Plus I wanted a set that was suitable for my son as well as my daughter. My children love this (and so do I!) it's gorgeous and will stand up to years of tea parties - both with and without real drinks and food and outdoor use. Items can be washed up too without any damage so adds to the play fun! I imagine this item being one that the grandchildren will play with too - which is a long way off since my children are 5 and 1!

I've bought this set for my Grandson for Christmas.. it looks very good quality and is packaged very well in the lovely cottage case .. I'm very pleased with my purchase

This is a Christmas so I cannot yet comment on its durability it does appear well made and I bought it with the thought it will give lots of pleasure.
