Very difficult to label each chock with the N-number with the new, rubbery, stamped surfaces.
This isn't apparently like the old chocks where you could take a big marking pen and write your "N" number to thwart theft and assist with identifying the particular aircraft. The composition of the chocks is some rubbery material with "company" information stamped into the chocks, making it doubly difficult to label, because, of the stamped information and the nature of the rubbery composition not favoring a high quality, permanent marker.I had to remark them multiple times with great effort to get them to be fully black letters. If I had it to do again, I'd just go to Home Depot, buy some wood and get it cut to L 6" X W 4" H 1.75", paint them white, label them with a black marker, and, drill some holes in each one to link them with the nylon cord. There is a business opportunity here for making wood chocks for people with landing gear, wheel covers (Pants, Spatz, etc.).
