Broom handle fits mop head.
Got this because it was cheaper than buying a new handle for the mop. I have this Vileda mop with a spinny bucket thing (the one where your press on a pedal to drain the mop) and for some reason the handle for that mop is poorly made. The original and replacement both broke in the same spot; then I realised that the handle for this broom fits the mop and doesn't break. Broom is decent, nice long handled dusptpan as well.

dustpan handle short.
Like the fact the dustpan folds up & appears quite sturdy compared to some others out there. What I don't like in the handle is a little short & doesn't extend hense only 4 stars. ( if you're over 5"2 & struggle to bend this isn't for you) The brush however doesn't clip onto the dustpan & have to be stored separately.. The brush is also full size with an extendable shaft which is a plus & really sweep's well catching all crumbs & dog hair but can't fit into small crevice like between cooker & unit.

Lightweighted, fulfilled expectations
I had reviewed this broom with 5 stars but, after some use it has a very big problem. The handle is supported in a flimsy plastic socket of the dustpan, and it is just too flimsy. After opening closing opening closing if some times, it creates a gap, and the handle doesnt stand straight anymore it now stays inclined. And this is only getting worth.I bought it like 4 months ago, and this product is not durable at all.I dont feel some criticism is fair, like the handle beeing too short, i kind of like it that way, and its a design aspect, but it not beeing durable for more then 2 months thats a problemAs i wrote before, i bought it for my mother as she likes red products, but i dont recomend it for most cases. I still like it but poor qualityBought it for my mother as she like red products. The broom has a nice design, the dustpan is extremely light kind of short and allows you to store it compacted in the wall like the broom.I think there is space for improvement so that the duspan and broom can be fitted togheter, now they cant but happy for the money i payed fulfilled my expectations

Omg I love this brush.
Omg I love this brush. It picks up every bit of dirt you can and can't see. I have LVT flooring and it's easier than a hoover. My only gripe would be the dustpan. It leaves that line of dirt behind when you sweep into it. We luckily have a step down that I can sit the pan on and brush straight into. Also they don't connect together neatly to store away. But if your looking for a great, sturdy brush look no further

Exactly what i expected from Vileda.
I bought a Vileda broom like the one in this set a couple of years ago and I was very happy with it. Then one day I accidentally/clumsily trod on it and snapped off the thread at the bottom of the handle.Looking on Amazon I could not buy just the replacement handle for any less than the price of this combined set, and from some sellers just the handle, just the head or the complete broom were significantly more expensive than this set.I received this a couple of days ago and I am happy with it. The broom is the normal length you would expect from a sweeping broom - it is not designed solely to be used with the dustpan. So I sweep the floor and move the dust/hair whatever to one part of the room and then I pick up the dustpan and sweep it into there. I do not walk around the room using them as a pair (as a janitor or similar might do if sweeping up cigarette butts back in the day). For me, if the dustpan had a handle as long as the broom it would be awkward to use. If the broom was significantly shorter it would be awkward to use as a general broom. Once I have a pile of sweepings to be swept into the dustpan, I simply slide my hand 2 feet or so down the broom handle until it is at a comfortable height to drag the debris into the pan. It works for me.
