Product would have been perfect if we didn’t cut the “template” on wrong side. There is a finished side and side that shows the fibers—lesson learned. Already reordered to try this patching again…

This item was stated to be 1’x1’ in the seller’s description. As is shown in the photos, the item we received was closer to 9”x9” and was cut a little like a parallelogram instead of a square. The edges were a little jagged, so we had to trim them before we could use it. Luckily we ended up not needing the larger size and were able to make the smaller size work for our needs. We used this to to cover the original cutout from a larger door lock in our exterior door when our defective lock needed to be replaced. This product was easily cut with tin snips and we were able to create smooth edges with a little sanding. Not the prettiest repair, but more cost effective than replacing the whole door when only a smaller door lock was available. This product gave us the coverage we needed at a reasonable cost. Just beware that you may not get the whole 12 inches!
