I like to make my own chicken stock where possible and will religiously squirrel away chicken bones and carcasses in the freezer until I have enough to put a stock pot on. I will then make some kind of soup, but I have to admit that a couple of spoons of this added really takes the soup up another level in terms of flavour. Just be aware it contains a fair bit of salt so go easy on seasoning until you've tasted it..I don't add any salt before I've tasted the soup. It is also really nice added to the water when you cook rice, only put enough water in to cook the amount of rice you have, then it will all be absorbed and you are not tipping any away if you have to drain the rice. Stews and casseroles all benefit from a dollop of this and it may be useful to know it is gluten free too. I like that it's a paste rather than a powder too, not sure why, I just do.

While it is of course ideal to make one’s own stock that isn’t always possible and this product provides a good quality and great value alternative. The tub closes tightly keeping the product safe between uses, very little paste is necessary to produce a litre of tasty stock that can provide a base to numerous soups and sauces.

It's a super delicious chicken paste in daily healthy Soups. This brand specifically from the UK has a distinguished intense flavor signature. It contains a correct proportion of chicken fat that allows for all its flavors and our celery, onions, carrots, rice or pasta to "merge" into a combined rounded almost creamy tasty soup, in no time. When using this chicken paste you won't need to add anything else more than veggies, spices and pasta. Bring to a boil then simmer with a lid until it became murky. Parmesan cheese to taste ! In terms of dosage, 1 table spoon paste will provide about 3 bowls of Soup for 1 liter of water.

This is pretty great stock. I was hesitant to spend so much on it at first but the taste is so good, it makes a massive difference to gravy, soups and curries. I will be buying the other flavours now. I can’t go back to regular stock pots or cubes now!

This is fantastic value for money as a little goes a long way. Great for general stock and adding depth of flavour. Or you can crank it up and create rich and luxurious sauces. Brilliant stuff.

Can’t live without both chicken stock and veg stock. I use either for the base in many recipes. Kept in a cool cupboard they last for many months. Shame the price has rocketed!

If you buy this expecting some salty, powerful stock that is pretty much a chicken drink, you will be disappointed.This is for cooking. It has the expected mildness of chicken, it is nicely balanced, and is really useable! I was very impressed - nearly as good as my own!And as a bonus, it works well as umami (savoury) seasoning. I made a little noodle stir fry yesterday and just put a teaspoon (possibly less) into the wok. Just added that lovely extra twist you get with good Chinese food.Overall, very impressed, and it should keep fine in the cupboard. I also bought the beef and that was good too.

Our daughter recently diagnosed as celiac so on looking for gluten free stock and came across this. It is 1kg (or2.2 lb) and is easier to use than a cube that you have to crumble. The paste is easy to scope out and you can add as little or as more as you want to taste. Great for soups and gravy. Tastes very nice and smells like chicken crisps!
